Sunday's Stitchy Update...

This week I started the By the Bay Mystery SAL.  Every Friday in June she will release one section to stitch. This was the section released on the 1st.  Will try to stitch part 2 tomorrow.

My piece up in my rotation this week was L*K's ABCs of Aging Artfully.  I had an extremely hard time with this piece this week.  I did not get this as a kit so I was substituting DMC for the Crescent Colours so I scoured the internet for what the substitutions should be and got busy!  Unfortunately I had trouble with the colors suggested!  First I stitched the green and didn't like it so I frogged it and found another, the same thing happened with the pink color - I didn't care for it at all so I frogged it and restitched that in another color...both were variegated DMCs and I liked it so MUCH BETTER. So I thought I might as well swap out the blue and gold with something before I frog them too so I switched those to variegated also.  Merrily went on my way stitching with the blue floss and got ready to stitch with the orange color I picked and noticed...I stitched the blue around the "G" where it did not belong so guess what... I HAD TO FROG AGAIN ANYWAY!  I think it was not my week for this piece.  I am SO GLAD to put it away; now that I have FINALLY got the colors I want picked out and put where they belong.
Hopefully I will have a better
stitching week this week ;)

Thanks for taking a peek at my stitching
see ya next week with another update
