Thready Thursday…

I got in some sewing during the last week!

My daughter had a baby shower to go to and the pastor at my church is expecting his first grandchild so I made these little taggie blankets for the babies (both girls).

I used some scraps of cotton fabric I had to make the patchwork squares. In the middle section going across on both I put some waxy crinkly paper so that it will make noise when the baby touches it. In the other two sections I used a thicker batting so it would be soft and squishy.

I used the tutorial at  Sew Much 2 Luv  for the basics.

Thanks for taking a peek,
See ya next time!

What happens to the wax paper if they're washed? I've never heard of taggie blankets.

I'm glad you're having fun using your new machine. :) I love to sew also but don't make as much time for it as I should.
