My Sunday Stitchy Update

Well hello everyone!

Sorry I have been gone for so long...feels like forever to me!  I had to have a "simple" hernia removal surgery which they said would require a one or two night stay in the hospital. Ten days later they finally felt I was well enough to go home but then you know when you get home you (at least me) are just feeling blah and lazy and want to lay around for a few more days and do NOTHING and that is exactly what I did! So all in all I lost two weeks stitching for Justine's Solo September Challenge but I still managed to get in a page finish! yay me!!

Shades of Blue
Designer - Northern Expressions Needlework
Progress as of 10/02/16

Looks like I did not get a current picture (I see a big white spot!) so I will post that in my next update.

Now I think I am going to work on a Halloween piece from the current Just CrossStitch Magazine Halloween issue. I will be stitching the Trick or Treat Coasters designed by Angela Pullen Atherton of Pullen Designs. I am copying how my friend Kim did her piece so I can have a door banner. Now to find some fabric in that stash of mine!

Thanks for taking a peek at my stitching
see ya next week with another faithful update!

Glad to hear you're home and doing better. Health first before stitching, lol. Looking forward to your Halloween start. Take care.

Good to read that surgery went well and that you are back from hospital. You were right just being lazy at home and taking it easy. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Wonderful progress on your Solo piece. Enjoy your Halloween stitching now.

Well done on your page finish despite your health issues! Sounds like a lot of rest was called for. Hope you continue to recover and I'm already looking forward to seeing your Halloween stitching.

I was starting to worry about you, so I'm glad to see you posting. Boo hiss to long hospital stays and I know just what you mean about that 'blah' feeling. Take it easy and well done on the page finish in spite of it all.

Sorry to read about the health trouble.
At least you are now fully rested and ready to tackle Halloween stitching ;)
Great progress still on your sweet project!
