My Sunday Stitchy Update 03/12/17

And we have a finish!  YAY

12 Days of Christmas
Day 3
Three French Hens
Designer - Margaret Sherry
Started 02/27/27
Finished 03/09/17

This was completed for the
Christmas Ornie SAL 2017!
Go on over and check out everyone's
2017 Christmas Ornaments!

So now I have a new start! I am stitching the Michigan Logo for my brother that lives in Illinois.

Michigan Logo
Stitcher Universe
Progress as of 03/12/17

so much yellllooooowwww! LOL
Soon I will be adding blue so that may be a welcome change.

I was a bit upset when I finally looked at the chart to start it.  The description of the chart is that the chart is 200 x 200 and when I looked at it the top 42 rows and the bottom 47 rows are totally BLANK! I have never had a chart where those blank row and/or columns were included in the stitch count! I (being me) complained and she offered to delete the rows for me...really? I can do that myself but I told her that I think she should not include them in the final count. Don't think she was happy with my comments as she has not emailed me back again.

Well back to the yellow!

Thanks for taking a peek at my stitching
see ya next week with another faithful update!

Ooh La La! I like your French hen - very stylish! I would have thought such a large stitch count would put lots of stitchers off. She should be thankful for your feedback. It looks like a nice design though.

Your hen is so cute! And, I totally agree about the logo pattern. Blank rows should not be included in the stitch count. You have to wonder what the designer was thinking. Adding so many rows is completely against accepted practices. You would have thought she'd have noticed that in any patterns she'd bought as a stitcher. I hope the rest of the pattern is sound.

Wonderful finish! Great start! Never heard of charting empty rows. Wasting fabric for you.

Nice work on the Hen! I'd be upset too, since you would've brought it thinking it was going to be twice as big as what it is!!! I hope you end up happy with the size and results.

Your French Hen is adorable. I agree with you, blank rows should not be included in the count. It throws the design off center.

I am not usually a Margaret Sherry fan but I do love your French Hen. Also, how strange re the designer and the stitch count!

It was good that you commented on the extra rows, I think it's typical that blanks are not included in the stitch count! Your french hens finish is adorable, lovely stitching!

Congratulations on the two finished pieces, Faith. And you are already far into your new start.
I have never seen a designer include 48 blank rows into the row count. Strange.
