Today was Jacob's first Turtle race with his Awana club.
He had to paint his wooden turtle on his own; he painted his blue with white stripes and he put "fire" shooting off his feet to show how fast he would go. The turtle is then attached to a thin rope thru the hole in their head and then they "walk" them down the race track by moving the rope up and down.
The Kindergartners competed in one group and Jacob advanced to the finals!
YIPPEE
Then he beat out all the other kindergartners in the finals by having the fastest turtle on the track!
He was soooo excited and he WON! He came in first place out of all the other kindergarten Sparks! :) He won some toy turtles and said that
TODAY WAS THE BEST DAY EVER!
