Hello Friend! I hope you have been having a wonderful week! The weather is warming up here in Tucson and we are in the low 100's now and I am sure we will be getting a little warmer as the summer goes on.
Last post I was telling you how I started working on that darn half (tent) stitch for the snow on the Christmas Penguin piece and since I was in a groove with it I just kept on until I finished it!
Christmas Penguin
Designer - Gill Cooper
First Stitch 02/12/18
Finished 06/06/18
I must admit the snow looks good and really stands out but I'll tell ya I am glad to be finished with it!
And since I seem to be on a Christmas roll lately I have a new start that is also Christmas related! In addition to that it is my first HaED piece! It was a gift from a friend and as soon I received it I knew it had to stitch it up and added it to my "short list" of things to work on.
The Enchanted Christmas Snowman
Artist - Dona Gelsinger
This is what it will look like once I finish it.
Here is the fabric all gridded up and ready to start the stitching.
The gridding alone took me three days since it is the boring part of stitching!
and here it is with the first Xs and only LOTS more to go!
First Stitch 06/09/18
Progress as of 06/10/18
I am going to continue stitching this for the next week
and hope I can make some great progress on it.
Thanks for taking a peek at my stitching
see ya next week with another faithful update!
