My Sunday Stitchy Update 09/07/25

Good Evening Friends!

I hope that you had a wonderful week. My week was kind of good. The weather has cooled down and we even got a little rain.

This week will be a very short post. I only stitched on one piece, Stephen King's House. I finished all the brown (DMC 400) on the top floor.

I added 450 stitches this week.

Now I will put this away for a while and switch to something else after I spin the wheel today.

Well that is it for today. Short and sweet and to the point!

Thanks for stopping by and please continue to pray for Glenn, thank you.

Stay safe and I will
see you next week!

My Sunday Stitchy Update 08/31/25

Well that is another month in the books; August is over, done with, gone!! We have finally had our temperatures drop to under 100° an now we are just waiting for some rain.

During the week I tried to stitch the Snowman and he is giving me lots of trouble! I am constantly putting in stitches and taking them out, over and over again! I hope to FINALLY get that scarf right soon!

I manage to get in 177 stitches. I am not sure they stayed in but I tried!

I also worked on Mr. King's House on Friday, It was a nice break from the snowman, even if it was only for  day!

Added 128 stitches to this one.

And that is all I have for this week!

We can still use some prayers for my brother Glenn, if you can.

He has an incurable cancer and was put into hospice. They seem to be keeping him heavily medicated and he can't really hold a conversation. I am so upset over this situation that I just keep on breaking out in tears. I am praying for him to have the strength to get through this without the constant pain as his cancer has spread throughout his body. We thank you for any prayers said on his behalf.

Thanks for stopping by,
I hope to see you next Sunday.

My Sunday Stitchy Update 08/24/25

Hello Everyone! I hope you had a great week! I had a pretty good week myself.

I want to say thanks for telling me about your favorite genre of books. It was interesting to see how similar many of our likes are! Some of the more popular ones are Stephen King, mysteries, cozy mysteries along with biographies and the list goes on and on.

Now for the important stuff!

This week I stitched on three different projects. I don't remember if I mentioned that I needed to finish the penguin for J's birthday in September or not but I did get all the stitching on that done! To be honest, it was almost finished already but until you put in that last X, it is not ready to go! Now I need to FFO it so it will be ready for gift giving time. First though I need to decide how I should finish it.

Daily Cross Stitch

Added the final 224 stitches!

Then I decided I wanted to add some color to Stephen King's House. Unfortunately, the next color was brown! But I think as long as I am nor using more black, it should be just what I needed! I think that it will help me keep track of where I am a little easier.
I added 172 stitches this week.

And last but not least for the week I worked on the Snowman 3D Ornament. Today I finished what I will call the bottom snowball, tomorrow I think I will start on the pretty blue scarf.

Put in an additional 362 icy stitches this week.

So what is everyone else working on? If you stitch Christmas gifts, what do you stitch? Larger  Christmas scenes, cards, something personal, stockings, ornaments or something else? Have you started yet?? As of today; Sunday, August 24th you have 123 days until Christmas! I think that means you should get started! For some reason, I always seem to pick ones that need lots of stitches so I need plenty of time.

This week I plan to catch up with some blog reading but before that happens, I just wanted to say

THANKS

for stopping by! So until I see you again, stay safe and out of trouble!

My Sunday Stitchy Update 08/17/25

A new week, same charts, new Xs!

I am TRYING to make progress on the snowman ornament but there is soooo much WHITE! LOL  I get tired of looking at it! I think that this week I will need to finish stitching the Penguin for Jacob's birthday card! It is coming up in September, so I need to get busy.

This week I add 586 stitched to the snowman
and I think I have a million left!

This week I also continued with my Stephen King House. There are so many black stitches that I have to count and recount and sometimes count again to make sure I have the right number of stitches in the right spot. So anyways, this is what I am stitching at the mall this week.

I only put in 134 stitches in 2 days this week.
Guess we were talking to much again!

Do any of you read Stephen King books? What is your favorite genre of books? Me; I like true crime, mysteries and police procedure type books. I also enjoy some autobiographies, and a good sappy love story every now and then! Sounds like I will read most anything! When I was still working, I switched to audiobooks since I could listen to them while I did my work. I also find I can get more books in this way! If I remember to update Goodreads, then you can always see what I am reading at the top of the column on the right. If you are a member (it’s free) there request my friendship so I can see what you are reading!

Nothing else exciting happening here except we finally got rain, but I don't think it was enough. So, I hope we will get some more soon. Plus, I love a good rain. We are still dealing with the reason for the prayer request; we have appreciated all the prayers but please don't stop if you can see to it in your heart. THANK YOU

Stay safe and I hope to see you next Sunday.

My Sunday Stitchy Update 08/10/25

Welcome Welcome Welcome!

Glad to see you here today. It has been a rough week in my personal life and this week my stitching and friends have been the biggest escape I had. Thank goodness for fabric and floss.

So, I think I will just jump right in! You may not know or remember that I stitch two days at the Mall with some friends and the rest of the week I stitch another project at home. I normally spin the Tiny Decision wheel to help me decide what to stitch unless something is on a deadline. Well, that was a failure this week! I spun the wheel and it came up to the Temperature Library. I was happy and packed up my supplies. When I tried to stitch at the Mall it required me to turn to a certain page to get the temps and another page for the color and finally another page to get to the chart. Aye yi yi! I felt like I spent all my time looking for stuff! LOL so now I know everything can't leave home and get stitched.

Kristi’s Corner Needlework

I put in 61 stitches this week.

So, I spun the wheel AGAIN! This time I landed on another big one; the Stephen King House! I wish it was a real house so we could get a glimpse of all the movies and their stars in one place. I got a good start on this Friday and I will continue it for the next two weeks.

I added 127 stitches to the house on Friday.

I also went to work on on my ornaments, with one little change. Since I was having so much trouble with the Snowman ornament I looked around the site for another and lo and behold there was another! I decided to give it a try and so far so good! I hope my luck holds out until he is finished.

The World of Cross Stitching

I put in 510 stitches on this new start Snowman

And that is about it for the week!

I have answered quite a few of the comments I had sitting in my inbox and I hope to be able to answer more this week along with leaving some comments for you guys!

I hope that you have a great week coming up and you are able to get in lots of stitches.

Before I sign off for today I would like to ask that if you are a praying person to please say a prayer for my family. I can't say what it is as it is not my need, but I do appreciate it. THANK YOU

Love you guys!
Stay safe and out of trouble, but stitch a lot!

My Sunday Stitchy Update 04/27/25

Good Afternoon Stitchers and Friends!

Welcome and I am glad you were able to stop by to see what I have been up to.

This was the last week of SPRINGO so this is what I needed to stitch for my board. First up was the letter I which was for the Penguin Ice Slide! The Penguin is all stitched up and now I need to add ice and he will be finished!

slid in 111 stitches on 04/20

The next day the letter N was picked and so Nintendo was up. The guy's pants and shoes changed from white to blue this time.

It only took 100 stitches to change his outfit.

Then I had some free time (that rarely ever happens) so I pulled out Stephen King House and added a few stitches! I think this is taking al long as construction takes!

So on 04/21 I constructed 144 more stitches on this house!

So now we are back to SPRINGO where on 04/22 the letter G was called and of course, G is for Gold and Gold is for Shades of Gold. This allowed me to achieve my second vertical SLINGO!

Designer - Nicole Dostal
I managed to get in 104 stitches.

Letter P was called on both 04/23 and 04/24 which allowed gave me some time to work on the Annual Blackwork SAL (2024). I ended up with my one and only horizontal SLINGO.

Annual Blackwork SAL
Peppermint Purple
Added 273 stitches over two days.

And now it is last call for SLINGO! The letter R was called and that is for the Twisted Rainbow Sampler. I did manage to move down to the row across. YAY

I added 128 to the rainbow.

Well that brings us to Saturday and I felt like working on this cute. I added a bunch of hearts to him and I think he is very cute!
Added 110 stitches in hearts.

So here is what my SLINGO board looked liked when I was finished.

Well, thanks for hanging in there until the end of the long post.
