2022 Stitching Plans

Well here we are at the end of the current year and it is time to make my stitch plans for the next year.

I have decided that it is time to get some of these WIPs out and work on them!  As I look at the list though I realize that most of these projects are pretty LARGE! Oh well they need to meet the floss and needle so they can get something done on them.

This is my list of things to work on:

 1. 2022 Christmas SAL from Stitchonomy
 2. A Year of Blackwork from Peppermint Purple
 3. Beaded Elegance Ornaments from Dimensions
 4. Dinosaurs by Stephen Michael Gardner for Flumpkins X Stitchers
 5. Easter Row from Bent Creek
 6. Enchanted Christmas Snowman, The by Dona Gelsinger for HaED
 7. Flower a Day SAL, The from Carolyn Manning Designs
 8. Fun Every Day from SamSarah Design Studio
 9. Holidays Are Mother’s Day! from Marilynn and Jackie’s Designs
10. Live Simply from Waxing Moon Designs
11. Mason Jar Lineup by Barb Tourtillotte for Dimensions
12. Merry Christmas from Art to Heart
13. Nintendo from Armada Designs
14. Quilt Block Sampler by Loretta Oliver for Stitching the Night Away
15. Shades of Gold by Nicole Dostal for Northern Expressions Needlework
16. Stained Glass from Love Thy Thread
17. Twisted Rainbow Sampler by Nicole Dostal for Northern Expressions Needlework
18. Whiskerkins; Hip, Hop and Bob from Carolyn Manning Designs

If I manage to get any finishes in, after every two I will allow myself a new start. Hopefully this will keep the temptation for new starts at bay while encouraging me to stitch faster on my WIPs!  The other new starts I will have is my family's Christmas ornaments which I will probably start in July during my Christmas in July stitching. I think I will put all these titles in Tiny Decisions and let it decide on next pieces.

Thanks for reading my plans!
Now to get my butt in gear and stick to my plan!

Thanks so much for stopping by,
see you next week with another faithful update!

My Sunday Stitchy Update 12/13/20

Hi everyone!   How are you doing today?  Wow December is moving fast, fast, fast... and I can't believe it is half over already.

I am STILL working on ornaments. I think I need some faster floss and a speedy needle at this rate! I am trying to finish up the penguin and hopefully he will be finished by Tuesday at the latest (PLEASE) because I still have the snowman to do. ay yi yi  I just have to TRY and ignore all the distractions around me but I am not really to good at that part. I usually get caught up on watching whatever is on the television or looking at something interesting on the internet not to mention the emails I get. Next week all of that will have to be blocked out! LOL

So here is my penguin progress...

Bauble Penguin
Progress 12/13/20

Has anyone started planning their 2021 stitching yet? I would love to hear about your plans! Are they posted on your blog? I think next year is going to be "The Year of the UFO/WIP" for me. I would love to clear some of that stuff outta of the WIP Box or at least get it closer to getting out. Of course I am sure I will throw in a new stitch here and there because a year is not complete without adding a little something. I am going to have to get my list and supplies ready; of course AFTER I finish these ornaments!

Thank you so much for stopping by,
see ya next week with another faithful update!

My Sunday Stitchy Update 12/29/19

on Monday 12/30!

I was going to post last night but when I took the picture of my 'finish' I realized I did not finish the back stitch! So - back on to the q-snaps it went and I finished it up today.

So without further ado; here is my last finish for 2019!

You Are Loved
Charmed Sampler
Designer - Hinzeit
First Stitch 07/01/19
Finished 12/30/19

And finally here is my 2019 ORTament

I hope that everyone had a great Christmas and Santa was good to you. I did not ask for any XS this year from Santa but I still received some DMC and this DMC Reindeer kit from Jacob.

I did ask Santa for this pill organizer though after
I saw it on FaceBook and he brought it to me!

and I converted it to a Needle Organizer!

I have packs of needles all over the place and I hope that this will help me get them gathered all in one place and sorted by their sizes. The needles actually fit pretty good in here!

This time of the year is always so exciting because I get to plan the new things to stitch for the next year! I have been planning and replanning and then adjusting the projects time and again on my 2020 list of things I must put some stitches in. I THINK I finally have it finished (especially now that 2020 is days away) and am almost ready to reveal it.

If you have not planned your list yet or are still looking for things to add to your list Loretta had this list of 2020 SALs on her site and maybe you will find something there? I love to look at all the SALs and some I think ooohhhhh I want to do that and others I think well who in the world wants to stitch that! hahaha Anyways you can find the list here and I hope you enjoy browsing it!

Well if I don't talk to YOU again before the end of the year I want to wish you a very safe, happy and healthy New Year full of plenty of time for you and whatever is important to you and also time to do all you love; especially cross stitching ;)

Thank you all for another year of friendship, comments, suggestions and encouragement and I am looking forward to doing it all again next year!

Thanks for stopping by,
see ya next time!

2018 WIPocalypse Introduction

I decided to join the 2018 WIPocalypse.

I know I am a little late but better late than never?! ha ha I have participated in this SAL but have been a "drop-out" since 2014.

Anyways in case you don't know what it is all about I will "try" to explain it as I know it.  It is a way for Stitcher's to summarize during the weekend of every full moon what they have stitched since the last full moon. It doesn't matter what you stitch (WIPs, UFOs or new starts) or how much you stitch (one stitch or a million); if you have stitched, you are welcome to make a post and link it on Measi's Musing's WIPocalypse Page! Pretty simple huh?

Also there will be a monthly question or topic to answer and/or talk about so we can all get to know each other better! I am pretty sure answering this is optional though so don't let that scare you off.

So the first topic is...

Introduce yourself, your projects, and any goals you have for the year!

My name is Faith and I am the very proud mother of two adult children and one wonderful grandson. We are originally from the Chicago, IL area and moved to Tucson, AZ a couple of years ago and LOVE it!

Additionally we have four dogs, one turtle and a bird! You can see a couple of pictures of them here.

I have been cross stitching since 1995 and have taken time off here and there whenever my mojo has decided to go on vacation. Luckily it always returns but it brings back more projects (souvenirs?) to stitch! I also like to TRY other crafty things and am currently gaining the courage and collecting advice from friends to make a quilt. I also LOVE to assemble jigsaw puzzles and have really gotten into it over the past year.

As for my "planned" projects
for 2018 this is my list!

The list seems so long to me but I guess it is not that long.  I hope to make some good progress on these this year and hopefully even put one or two in the finished pile!

I think all of the ones that are started already can be seen on my WIPs /UFOs page.
