My Sunday Stitchy Update 11/28/21

Evening Everyone,

This week I have my last start for Naughty November SAL which is hosted by Rachel over at the Ten Hour Stitcher.  It was a quick but fun SAL that gave me an excuse; uh I mean chance to start some of my kitted up charts.

I picked a nice, simple and easy chart for the final week.

Live Simply
Waxing Moon Designs

This is a picture of the chart.

This is how it looked midweek before I moved the frame.

and this is the continuation after moving the frame.

First Stitch 11/22/21
Progress 11/28/21

I didn't want to take it off the frame for the picture which is why I have two photos.

I would like to thank Rachel for hosting this SAL!
Maybe next year a few other stitchers will join in
maybe with their last minute Christmas stitching?

Now back to the Merry Christmas piece.

Thanks so much for stopping by,
see you next week with another faithful update.

My Sunday Stitchy Update 11/21/21

Hi Everyone! Hope that you are doing well this evening.

I have another new start to share with you today for Week 3 of the Naughty November SAL.  It is hosted by Rachel from the Ten Hour Stitcher and is designed to get stitchers to have a new start every weekend during November.

This week I started a smaller piece from a new to me designer.

Merry Christmas
Designer - Art to Heart
The above is what it will look like some day

and this is what mine looks like today.
First Stitch 11/15/21
Progress 11/21/21

Now I have one more new start coming up this week and then I think I will go back to this one and get some more stitched on it.

Thanks so much for stopping by,
see you next week with another faithful update
and the last new start for November!

My Sunday Stitchy Update 11/14/21

Hey Friends!  Hope things are good by you. Here we are still have temperatures in the 70s and 80s and I must say I am enjoying it A LOT!

This week I started a new piece since I am participating in Naughty November hosted by Rachel of Ten Hour Stitcher.

This is the piece I started this week...

Easter Row
Designer - Bent Creek

above is the design

and this is my progress for the week

First Stitch 11/08/21
Progress 11/14/21

Yes, yes, I know this is not Easter season but I have had this one kitted up for a very long time. And who knows, maybe this way it will be all stitched up by then? It is hard to tell by the picture but the fabric is really a sparkly pink.

Now what will tomorrow's new start be? I have some more charts kitted up already so I will probably select one of those.

So until next week,
thanks for stopping by
and see ya next time!

Ready for Take Off
Barbara Ana Designs
First St1itch 10/12/21
Finished 11/02/21

Now on to Naughty November!

This is an SAL hosted by Rachel from Ten Hour Stitcher. The premise is that stitchers will start a new piece every week in November and maybe, just maybe mind you; forgo some Christmas stitching.

Well anyways... this is my first piece for Naughty November.

Shades of Gold
The above is what it will look like some day

and this is what is looks like today.

My Sunday Stitchy Update 11/29/20

Well here we are at the END of November already. All of a sudden it seems like time is flying!! Maybe that is because of the holiday season. It does seem that things really start moving after Halloween.

This is also the last week in Naughty November! It was something fun to participate in; thanks Rachel and Tiff for the great idea!! Hopefully you guys will do it again next November.

This week thanks to someone's reminder I started Christmas ornaments. I picked out the three for my household and thought well they are less than a 4 inch circle each so how long can they take... let me tell you; they can take forever!! I think the full coverage definitely doesn't help and the big areas of solid colors really wasn't keeping me interested. All three ornaments are the same so looks like I will be BUSY for a while!

Bauble Santa
First Stitch 11/23/20
Progress 11/29/20

Well back to making Xs in Santa's face!

Thanks so much for stopping by,
see ya next week with another faithful update!

My Sunday Stitchy Update 11/22/20

Hi there! I hope you have all had a great stitching week. I know lots of places around the world are on a necessary lock down; sorry about that but hope you can use the extra time to get your stitching finished. I am sure we will all be thankful when this virus is finally under control and life can return to normal once again.

As I mentioned in last week's post I was going to stitch a special request for Tia (daughter). So here is my Naughty November piece for week 3.

Madame Vice President
Prudence Kitch
Designer - Stitch By Drey
First Stitch 11/16/20
Finished 11/21/20

We are calling this one "Madam President" instead of "Madam Vice President" for obvious reasons. It was a quick stitch and because of that it is a finish!!

If you are in the States I would like to wish you a very
Happy Thanksgiving 2020 style!

Which reminds me... has anyone worked on a turkey for Astrid? Here is her post about it. I did one and it was fun! It didn't take long at all and I am looking forward to seeing your turkey in disguise.

Thanks so much for stopping by,
see ya next week with another faithful update!

My Sunday Stitchy Update 11/15/20

Happy Fall Everyone! I don't know about where you live but here is Southern Arizona the temperatures have cooled off considerably though not for long. Overnights are down into the 30s but the days warm back up to the 70s. The overnights will warm back up next week and then down again. It is like a roller coaster of temperatures out there!

Now for the stitchy news. I had a crazy week myself and haven't been able to stitch since Thursday. Each day I thought today is the day but then it never materialized into actual stitching. It stinks but sometimes (unfortunately) that is how life goes.

Nevertheless I still started my second Naughty November piece in the beginning of the week!

A Year of Blackwork
Peppermint Purple SAL
First Stitch 11/09/20
Progress 11/12/20

Obviously not a lot of time went into it for the week but at least I finally started it! It has been on my list since I first saw it. I am doing the black work in DMC 4060, the individual borders in DMC 472 and I am still in talks with myself as to the outside border of the entire design. So far DMC 726 is winning the argument.

Next up will be my next Naughty November piece... It is something for Tia so it's not anything I planned but what is life if not a series of unplanned events? 😏

Thanks so much for stopping by,
see ya next week with another faithful update!

My Sunday Stitchy Update 11/08/20

Welcome to November! Everyday I am amazed that the year is almost over; it seems like life is going by so fast and 2020 will be over before we know it.

So as I said before I have joined in with Rachel's Naughty November and the New Start Mini Binge!! Believe it or not I have four new pieces in my stash that are ready for me to start. I know, I know... who knew a stitcher would have projects ready to go! LOL  I will start a new piece on the first four Mondays this month and here is my first one!

The Flower a Day SAL
Designer - Carolyn Manning
This is what the chart will look like once it is stitched.

I wanted to start this at the beginning of the year but hadn't dyed the fabric yellow yet. I finally got it dyed and in real life it looks a lot like the color on the cover of the chart.

Then since I am not always a good counter and this is a chart with stuff scattered all over the place and tons of color changes, I felt I should grid the chart. It took two long tedious days but I got thru it and then I was ready to stitch!

First Stitch 11/03/20
Progress 11/08/20

Now to put this one away and move on to the next!

Are you participating in Naughty November? If so let me know because I would love to see what you are working on!! And don't forget your turkeys!

Thanks so much for stopping by,
see ya next week with another faithful update!

My Sunday Stitchy Update 11/01/20

Welcome to November! We are down to two months left of this crazy year!!

During the month of October I stitched mainly one piece since there were 31 motifs and one was released each day.

Halloween 2020 SAL
Designer - Stitchonomy
#StitchonomySAL
First Stitch 09/21/20
Finished 10/31/20

This is the first SAL piece I have stitched from Stitchonomy and I enjoyed it. It wasn't always easy staying current with the days but it was fun!

Well that is it for this week; just short and sweet. Now to go and get ready for Naughty November!

Thanks so much for stopping by,
see ya next week with another faithful update!
