My Sunday Stitchy Update 04/16/17

Evening People and Happy Easter!!

I would like to introduce you to our sewing space that my daughter is setting up for us!  As many of you know we just moved into this home about 8 months ago and Tia (my daughter) has christened this as "Our Craft Room"! It is a work in progress because it needed lots of work done to it, but in the meantime we will be using it. First up, she ripped up the carpeting in there because it was old GROSS! She had no idea what she would find under there but she was anxious to get rid of it. It wasn't to bad, there are old ceramic tiles there and a few turned out to be cracked and they are not level with the tiles in the other rooms that connect to this room. Also you will notice the glue on the floor! She tried to get it off but looks like that will take some time! Eventually the tile will be replaced/covered but that is further down the road. I am sure there will be much more to come about this wonderful room!

In the meantime she inherited this desk from the previous resident of her office and decided to keep it. She painted it very colorfully for our room. I just LOVE how it turned out!!  She also painted and recovered an orange chair for the desk and she has two other chairs that need sanding and painting which I think will be painted in the green color.

Guess this means I will have to get those curtains my son is waiting for done!  LOL

My Sunday Stitchy Update

Hello Friends!

This week I managed to get in some stitching on my Dinosaurs! piece.  It is nice to see some progress on this piece and I am glad I picked it as my piece for Justine's Just One July SAL.

Progress as of 07/24/16

I was reading Evalina's blog, THIS AND THAT... the other day and she mentioned that she was going to participate in the "1 hour a day project" that she read about over on Meredithe's blog, pomegranate and chintz. So I went over to check it out and I thought surely I can devote an hour to my crafts a day for 2 weeks, right?  Well some days it is not that easy but I did manage to squeeze in some time here and there and made some progress daily! I have completed 5 days so far and here is my daily progress.

Do you think you could do it?

I don't know if I can do it every single day

but I am so very willing to try!

Now for some wonderful news! My daughter has purchased a home here in Arizona! We will need to start packing soon and moving things to the new place. I am so excited I can't wait to get all settled in our new home! Then I hope we don't ever have to move again!
