Thready Thursday

Well it has been quite a while since I have gotten to sew anything but this week I got to make two taggie blankets.

First up is one for a new baby that my daughter's co-worker is having. The baby is a boy and he will be here next month.

The next one is for one is for a little girl that will be two this year. I made her one when she was born and her mom said she loves it but wished she had one in black and white to stimulate her eye sight. She has a whole host of problems with this being one of them so I gladly made her one. I just hope she loves it as much as she does the first one she received!

Thready Thursday…

I got in some sewing during the last week!

My daughter had a baby shower to go to and the pastor at my church is expecting his first grandchild so I made these little taggie blankets for the babies (both girls).

I used some scraps of cotton fabric I had to make the patchwork squares. In the middle section going across on both I put some waxy crinkly paper so that it will make noise when the baby touches it. In the other two sections I used a thicker batting so it would be soft and squishy.

I used the tutorial at  Sew Much 2 Luv  for the basics.
