Do you make any resolutions to start off the new year?
I only make one and that is to do what makes me happy.

This week I continued to stitch away on my current project. I didn't quite finish my second page but maybe next time.

My Sunday Stitchy Update 08/28/22

Well Hello Everyone!

Today I FINALLY have some very exciting news on the stitching front!  Yes, yes, yes... I am happy to say that I finally finished stitching the ornaments! I felt like I would never finish them but it really only took 8 weeks for the five of them and that is not really to bad, it just seemed to take forever.

The only thing missing is my name on the reindeer. I couldn't decide on
a place to put it but Linda helped me with that (thanks again Linda). 

Now I will be starting an old UFO to try and get something stitched on it.

My Sunday Stitchy Update 08/21/22

Hello and good afternoon everyone!  I hope that you have been doing well this week. The weather here is still pretty hot; in the 80s and 90s and the monsoon have visited every day. I don't mind neither one but the dogs don't like either one! They hate going outside and getting their paws wet. 

Well here I am, back this week with an ornament update. I just wish that for once I was able to figure out exactly how long it would take to stitch up a piece which is why I am glad Rachel does Christmas in July so I can get an extra early start on my family's yearly ornaments.

Progress 08/21/22

Almost all the bodies are finished and it is finally time to start with the last color, DMC 310! This week I will be adding their accessories like shoes, belts and the ever important eyeballs. Oh yeah; the rest of the penguin's body too but I think that may be last so I can see the progress on the other ones.

My Sunday Stitchy Update 08/14/22

I don't know... I just feel like these ornaments will NEVER get finished. 

The white floss just seemed to give me a headache or something that made me not want to stitch it but that color is FINALLY finished! Now today to start on the black and hope it goes a little faster!

WELL as I expected, I did not get finished with the ornaments. There was so much white to fill in on the snowman I thought I would never finish it and now to work on the penguin! I think he has just as much if not more white as the snowman! Hopefully the black and brown floss will go much faster!

Just a short quick post for you today. I am still working on my ornaments and as you may have already know They won't be finished by today which is the end Christmas in July but they are close.

Progress 07/31/22

As you can see Santa is finished except for the back stitching that will connect the star to his hands. I would love to say I will be finished this week but I am not sure if I can do it or not. School is back in session which means I will have to start picking up Jacob everyday and taking him where ever he needs to go after school. I am going to try my best though!

Evening Friends!

We are still having a lot of very hot days, which is ok with me as I stay inside most of the time. I really only go out to run errands or to drive my grandson to the gym. 

So now for a quick stitching post so I can get back to my needles and floss. This week I have continued with the Christmas ornaments and I am making decent progress.

I am trying to finish all the colors that don't have large areas of one color so I can do some mindless stitching in front of the TV!

My Sunday Stitchy Update 07/17/22

Hey everyone!

This week I am still stitching those Xs on my Christmas ornament and I am making pretty decent progress. I did have a day where I had started those green pants in the fourth ornament three times putting them in the wrong spot, before I gave up for the night . Luckily for me try number four the next day put them in the right spot! Other than that it has been smooth sailing with them.

Progress 07/17/22

Not much else going on this week except that my grandson took the test and received his Learners Permit! I simply can not believe he is old enough to drive when it feels like I just saw him being born. Tia (my DD) took him driving yesterday to get him comfortable behind the wheel before he starts his lessons in a couple of weeks. He has to complete six months of driving with the instructor and us before he can do the road test and be issued his license.

Progress 07/10/22

I couldn't decide if it would be faster to do them one at a time or do them all at once so I decided to try doing them all together. I only had room to do five out of the six on the fabric but since I only needed four I figured that would be fine. But then I thought that I might as well throw in the fifth one too.

I am stitching them as they are charted in the book which is Santa, Reindeer, Snowman, Nutcracker and the Penguin.

My Sunday Stitchy Update 07/03/22

Well, half the year has zipped past mighty fast and now we are approaching the fastest part of the year; at least it seems like it for me! It all speeds up and rushes past family birthdays, Halloween, Thanksgiving and then comes to a screeching halt with Christmas while trying to finish Christmas shopping and stitching and get everything into the mail on time!

This week I worked on Nintendo until the end of June. I didn’t get very far on it but a little progress is more than it had.

Then on the first of July I switched over to Christmas in July! I HAVE to start early or I will procrastinate until umm... Christmas Eve and never get anything finished! LOL

On the first I only figured out the placement for the ornaments and the next day I started with the actual stitching.

Just a little progress on Santa's hat,

probably not even enough to cover his ears!

I need to stitch at least four of these designs but I am pretty darn sure I won't get them finished by the end of the month but I will try my best.
