A Happy Mail Day!

Today I had the happiest of all happy mail days!

I have a stitchy friend that I email back and forth with and today she turned out to be my Stitching Angel!

It started at the mailbox when I received this wonderful RAK! 

First things first, this is the card, it is super cute.

I do collect Eeyores and Bunnies so how perfect is this?

On to my shelf this will go!

Now to untie the bow to see what is inside the package... 

Pretty colorful presents!

First up, double sided mounting tape!

WOW, we were talking about this a few weeks ago

and now here it is, in all different widths!

Four gorgeous pieces of fabric!

I already have plans for the penguins and snowmen!

I love the other two also, now to find something to use them with.

Then there was this pretty box!

Looks like a good place to keep

little pretty trinkets or stitchy things. 

Maybe I can top it with a pretty stitched piece!

Oh wow...

then I opened the box and found more treasures!

Etolie floss and the cutest little picture frames!

Here is everything all together!

I am so very overwhelmed by the generosity of my Stitching Angel!

She is so kind and thoughtful and has paid such close attention to the things I stitch and sent me the most perfect things ever to fit in with it all! I couldn't believe it when I opened the box and it seemed as though the packages were never going to end. 

There are not enough words in the world for me to say thank you

or ways for me to show my appreciation!

Now to start looking through my finishes to see what I can use these gorgeous fabrics with and see what I can fit into the frames. It is going to be fun, fun, fun!

The Happiest Mail Ever!

Today I was so excited to see a bright pink envelope in the pile of mail and I just knew it was for me!

I know a lot of us were sad and disappointed when Ingrid decided to stop blogging and I for one have missed her posts of her beautiful stitching. She recently started a new blog called Mii to you, Random Acts of Stitching Kindness. I feel honored and blessed to have received the first RAK she sent out!

It is beautiful!

This is it! 

It is a Lizzie*Kate chart called A Little Stitch.

She does great finishing on her pieces too.

She made this one into a pinkeep! This is my first pinkeep too!!

She found the perfect backing fabric for it.

My Sunday Stitchy Update 09/17/17

Oh my how could I have ever forgotten an Etegami I received from my friend, Meari!

She recently learned how to draw these postcards and I was the lucky recipient of one!

The Japanese writing says

"Different is Beautiful"

and the saying and colors fit me perfectly!!

I love it!!

And then I had a surprise on Friday when I was reading Blogs. I always enjoy reading the Blogger of the Week which is one of Jo's (Serendipitous Stitching) creations. She recently ran a contest which I entered and the random number generator picked me as the winner of a gift certificate to an online stitchy store of my choice! I am still kitting up the Halloween piece from Stoney Creek that I spoke of a couple of weeks ago, so I asked for it to go there. Now I will be able to kit it up a bit sooner and get started stitching on it faster (ha ha ha).

Then came Saturday... and it was a happy mail day! Yay! I received another order of needle minder's from the Facebook store The Everyday Stitcher. A while ago I won a $25 gift card so I "had" to place another order! LOL 

These are the ones I received:

I even got one to stick to my ceramic tea cup that I recently purchased to use while I am stitching. I put the magnet on the inside of the cup and the minder on the outside. I am always misplacing things while I am stitching and thought that this might be a way to keep everything together.  You can see in the picture that in the cup part I keep my scissors (I am going to have to put a piece of material in the bottom), my 'get rid of that piece of dog hair' tweezers, my must have magnifying glass and what ever bobbin of floss I am using. In the teabag part I keep my needle threaders and thimble; makes it easy to find stuff. So far it is working perfectly and it takes up little space on my table, but time will tell.

Now for the stitching...

If they gave awards for the most stitching, ripping out, stitching, ripping out...again and again on one piece then surely I would win first place. I must have stitched the blue for the ballet slippers 5 times (please don't look to closely - LOL) but I think I finally have it! I feel like I am NEVER going to finish this ornament!

As I close out this week I would like to add a quote of kindness as fellow blogger Brigitte has done. She had a bad week with a couple of unpleasant people and wanted to remind people to be kind and I think that is a great idea. There is never to much kindness in the world and we can all use a reminder of that from time to time.

My Sunday Stitchy Update

Evening Everyone!

Hope everyone had a fantastic week, Spring is in full swing here, not that we notice a big change in seasons here (but I don't mind that)! I hope that you weren't one of the people who is getting snow in April, that seems like a cruel April Fool's joke.
