I did it!

Yesterday I finished all the feathers on Dreamcatcher - yay!

Sunday's Stitchy Update

Evening Friends!

Hope you all had a wonderful week and got in lots of me time to do stitching or what ever it is you enjoy.

Thursday I picked up Dreamcatchers to work on.  You would think the feathers would be kind of easy to work on but they really are not.  First of all the chart does not not clearly show which symbol is being used for the each section and there are tons of color changes. Granted it will all look great once it is finished; it is just time consuming.

My Sunday Stitchy Update

Evening Everyone!

I hope you all have had an amazing week. We had a pretty good week and now we are on a long holiday weekend due to Independence Day here in America. Hopefully we will be able to see some fireworks from our home as the Air Force base is close to us and I heard they have a great display. We can't really leave the dogs home alone because one of them doesn't do well with the loud noise and has to be medicated.

I got in some stitching this week. It didn't seem like much but looking at the progress I am pleased!

Flumpkins X Stitchers

This is the piece that I am stitching for Justine's Just One July. It has TONS of blues in it but it is a fabulous piece! I only got in about 200 (just a guess) stitches so far but on the first day I was "reorganizing" my stash for this one; refilling and bobbinating the floss I need. I am all set up now so it should be smooth sailing for the rest of the month.

My Sunday Stitchy Update

This week I continued working on Dreamcatchers but lacked motivation to start it most days so I did NOT finish the wording like I planned.  I am going back to work on it this evening to try and finish the last few words. Not sure if I will get the feathers finished by the end of the month but I am certainly going to try!!

My Sunday Stitchy Update

Hello Friends!

Hope you have all had a great week filled with stitching and other fun filled things :)

These past few weeks I have been stitching on the piece for my brother and I REALLY want to get it finished SOON.  I am just about finished with the stitching on the last Dreamcatcher and then I will need to do the back stitch and then...I can add the feathers!

I want to have it finished by the end of the month so hopefully I will find some daily motivation to work on it!

Which brings me to July 1st!  I am joining Justine with her Just One July SAL!  Last time she had a monthly SAL like this everyone made so much progress and I was mad at myself for not joining in since I NEED lots of motivation to work on Dinosaurs and make some serious progress on it!

6 pages completed and 14 to go!

I know I won't finish all 14 (that would be a miracle!) but I would like to finish at least one and if it is at all possible; maybe two!

If you have a piece that you would like to work on exclusively (or mainly) in July then head on over to Justine's and leave her a reply on her blog! I am sure that she would love it if lots of people signed up because you know what they say, the more the merrier!

Almost forgot to mention the weather!  Today Tucson reached 115°!! They were predicting 120° so they weren't to far off.  The humidity is only 4% so when they say it is a "dry heat" they really mean it.

I believe they said it was the hottest day in 22 years!

My daughter said that we got to to AZ just in time!  LOL

My Sunday Stitchy Update

Good Evening Friends!

Yesterday was my oldest baby's birthday. I simply can not believe that he is 34 years old already! I can remember the day he was born just like it was yesterday.

I managed to get in some stitching time this week. I finished the stitching on the first Dreamcatcher and did the back stitching on it. I decided that I will add the feather's at the end since they are stitched with "long stitches" I thought they might get messed up when I tighten and loosen my Q-Snap around my fabric.

Hope you are all doing great. This week the weather here in Arizona has been nice and hot (just the way I like it!) reaching a high of 99°. 

On Tuesday I started working on a new piece that was requested by my brother.

I stitched this in 2003 (you can see it here) for my father and now I am stitching it for my brother and then I believe that I will be stitching it for my grandson once I am finished with this one.
