My Sunday Stitchy Update

Evening everyone!

I did a little stitching this week and then my stitchy bug disappeared again. I figure it is in one of these unpacked boxes.  There are not to many left so I should find it soon! I really need it because I want to participate in Justine's Solo September. That is where we will stitch one piece (of your choice) for the month of September. I plan on digging Dinosaur's out and working on that!

Here is my finish!
Words SAL Part 8
Designer - Palkó

and here it is
in its entirety!

First Stitch 01/18/14
Last Stitch 08/22/16

I love how the colors look together and how it turned out.

My Sunday Stitchy Update

Evening Folks,,,

It has been a long week but thankfully I did manage to get in a bit of stitching.

As you know I participated in Justine's Just One July and worked on Dinosaur! I did not quite finish two columns so I kept it out a couple of extra days to finish that section and here is the update.

Artist - Stephen Michael Gardner
Progress as of 08/02/16
Now it will be going away until Justine holds
Solo September and I work on this again!

Also with all the puppy excitement last week I forgot to show the update of the Words SAL! It was just a small update as is this weeks but EVERY STITCH COUNTS! I have been stitching this while at the new house waiting for deliveries.  First up is last week's update

Designer - Palkó

And this week's update
Progress as of 08/04/16

Sorry, but I have one more update for you...

Some of you might remember that I joined the "1 Hour A Day Challenge" over at pomegranate and chintz. I started a few days late so naturally I ended a few days late too...but I DID IT! Here are my daily progress pictures.

Days 1 thru 5

Days 6 - 14

This week will probably consist of little to no stitching as we prepare for the big move on Saturday! Wish us luck. I am praying all goes smoothly just like when we moved here from Illinois.

see ya next week (maybe) with another faithful update!

My Sunday Stitchy Update

Hi friends!

This week we received the seventh part of the Words SAL so I stitched that up and got my picture emailed off at the beginning of the week.

Then I continued stitching away on the piece for my brother in Virginia, almost finished with the second Dreamcatcher.

Dreamcatchers
Designer - Joan Elliott
Progress as of 05/29/16

I hope to finish that Dreamcatcher and get started on the next one this week but now Jacob is out of school for the summer and things have been pretty hectic around here with some stuff that is going on.  Nothing serious and I hope everything will be sorted out soon.

My Sunday Stitchy Update

Hello Stitchers!

Hope that you had a wonderful week and you were able to get in some craft time for yourself! This week I worked on a couple of different pieces.

First up is the

Words SAL
Part 5
Designer - Palkó
Progress as of 04/14/16

Then I worked on Smoosh! I had the penguin and the cupcake done about two years ago but never got around to adding the words that I charted out. My grandson requested this piece based on this commercial that comes on during the Christmas season from Pier One Imports.

Twirl aka Smoosh
Finished 04/16/16

This is one of the UFOs for my yearly goal...
two down, four to go!

Then I worked a little on the maze today from part 2 of this SAL. We have all four parts now so I can just stitch it at my leisure! :)

My Sunday Stitchy Update

Evening Friends!

I hope that everyone had a fabulous holiday! Our day was good; my daughter cooked a fabulous dinner featuring a delicious spiral ham. I was stuffed but so satisfied!

I am happy to say that my stitchy bug came back some this week. I started something new which may have helped some ;)  Also, thank you everyone for your words of encouragement while I was looking for my bug and trying to get my motivation back.

First I start working on
A-Mazing Friends SAL
Part 1
Designer - Ursula Michael
Progress as of 03/25/16

I only worked on the maze on this section; there are words to fill in still. This is one of those pick your own colors or choose from many different combinations they gave you. None of their maze line colors were speaking to me so I used a variegated thread to try and achieve the same effect that they were going after.

Next I worked on

My Sunday Stitchy Update

Good Evening Everyone!

Hope that everyone is doing great :)  To my friends getting snow and ice, I hope that spring finds you soon and that you stay warm while you are waiting!

I have lots to show you today...

First up my daughter put some purple highlights in my hair! It is something that I have been wanting to do for a long time and I finally took the plunge!!  Here is how it looks now

There is more purple in the back but some is hard to see because it is kind of light and blends right in with my hair. All in all I am pleased and happy that we did it.

Next up!

My friend Mary (from Illinois) was vacationing in Arizona this week and came to have lunch with me!  When we started planning it our other friend Deb (from California) said that she would love to meet us that day also! So YAY!! I get to have lunch with two of my friends!  It was a fantastic time. We had some great Mexican food and lots of talking and laughing.

Here we are after lunch

To remember our lunch I made Mary this

and Deb this

My Sunday Stitchy Update

Good Evening Everyone!

Since my last update I stitched up two small LK charts that I can not show yet because they are gifts for some friends.

I also stitched up part two of the Words SAL

My Sunday Stitchy Update

Good evening friends!

First off I hope that all of you affected by the snow storm of 2016 are safe and sound and that you have not suffered any damage to your property. That snow is the main reason we moved from Chicago to warm and sunny Tucson! We didn't want to deal with those storms and cold anymore. This week we had warm temperatures in the 70s and I couldn't have asked for anything better!

On the stitchy front this week I stitched the first section of the

Words SAL
Designer - Palkó

Progress as of 01/21/16

To see all the different colors people have started this in you can go to this Pinterest board.

After that I picked up one of this years new starts

Twisted Rainbow Sampler
Progress as of 01/24/16

Since I have only had it out for a couple of days I think I will keep it out and continue stitching it.

New SAL from Palko-Lap!

I have been waiting for the announcement of her new SAL for 2016 and here it is!

It is called Words and I love the chart.

She designed it in three different colors and I need to decide which I want to do it or if I want to do some other color.

Also the Months SAL that I did last year is now going to be a freebie available on her page.  You can go here monthly and collect the charts to stitch them up. I did each one individually but she has a different layout complete with a Bible verse if you want to do it that way.

Hope to see some of you stitching one or both of these!

Thanks for stopping by,
See ya next time!

My Sunday Stitchy Update

There simply are NOT enough hours anywhere for anything!  LOL

I promise myself "This week I will read every blog on my blog list" or "I will read blogs for an hour every night" but...well you probably know the rest of the story - THESE THINGS NEVER HAPPEN! I have such good intentions but instead I am falling farther and farther behind.  So this week I have been diligently signing up for "Follow By Email" on blogs if it is available and what a difference it is making!!  I can keep up with everyone's updates simply by reading my emails - yay!! I love it.  Hopefully I will do better now on keeping up with the stitchy updates for all of you! If you don't have this feature please consider it as it is the best thing ever.

Last week I worked on my Monthly SAL on the Palko Blog.

Months SAL - December
Designer - Palko
Finished 12/06/15

I am going to miss doing these little monthly designs; they were a fun and quick stitches.  She is having a new SAL for 2016 but I am not sure if I am going to participate or not because I have a LONG LIST of charts that I want to get to.
I suppose it will depend on the size of the monthly charts and if I have fabric handy, usually her chart sections just require a day or two of stitching.

This week I stitched a day on Dorothy and her friends

Wizard of Oz
Cross Stitch Gold Mag / July 2012
Designer - Lesley Teare
Progress as of 12/09/15

then I started this cute ornament over the weekend

Heart Snowman
Kit - Needlemagic
Finished 12/13/15

I need to really get going on the Wizard of Oz this week so that will be my goal!  Hope I have some progress to show you next Sunday!!

My Sunday Stitchy Update

Welcome everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful week as we start a new month.  I can hardly believe it is November already as time is just flying by! I think one of the reasons I have a hard time remembering that it is November already is our weather! It is still in the mid 70s here in Arizona and we are not minding it one little bit! Don't get me wrong, in the morning when everyone is leaving for the day you may need a light jacket or sweater but that doesn't last for long like it would be if we were still in Chicago!

So I got in a bit of stitching this week...

New start and finish of
Months SAL - November

My Sunday Stitchy Update

Evening friends...I do hope you had a great week!  We saw a couple of warm days here FINALLY and now we are getting saturated with rain. Hopefully our summer weather will follow the rainy days and trust me I am more than ready for them to be here!

School finished this week for the year and Jacob has made this another year of being on the "A" Honor Roll for all four quarters. I am very proud of him; he has been on the A Honor Roll every quarter since he has been in school!

Now on to the stuff you came here for...
