My Sunday Stitchy Update 09/14/25

Hello All, I hope that you are having a good day.

Nothing exciting is happening around here except stitching, which can be exciting.

I spun the Tiny Decision Wheel and what came up for stitching at the Mall with my friends was the Temperature Library. I decided to stitch it at home instead of in our group and I added two feet of stitches, get it? ha ha There is also a book to the left of the feet which you can't really see. Now to decide; should I take it out and change that color for the chart or will the book outline be good enough to bring attention to it?  So many decisions...maybe I should use the wheel?!

Put in 133 stitched on this round.

After that I went back to the ornaments and started the Snowman AGAIN! This is it's last chance so I hope it works out. I decided to start in the center this time and see if that helps me. I don't want to jinx it but so far, so good!

Starting again with 331 stitches.

And another new start! Last night I couldn't sleep again and I was thinking about Jacob's birthday at the end of the month. With our family being from Chicago, the guys in this house cheer for the Chicago teams. One of the gifts we are getting him is a Chicago Blackhawks jersey and so today I decide to stitch him their logo to hang in his room. It is kind of plain, but he will like it. Now to finish it and frame it by the end of the month!

Chicago Blackhawks Logo
found all over Pinterest
52 stitches so far.

And that is it for stitching for the week!

Now, with the permission of her husband, I have a little sad news to share with you. Linda Scott, a blogger from a few years ago with the blog Stitchin with my Furbabies has passed away on September 8th, 2025. Her husband  did not provide any details but I just wanted you guys to know since she was a friend to many of us. Linda will be missed along with her Disney stitching.

Thank you so much for stopping by and
I hope you know how much I appreciate you and your comments.

Please stay safe and keep stitching and see you again soon!
💜   Love to you all!   ðŸ’œ

My Sunday Stitchy Update 08/10/25

Welcome Welcome Welcome!

Glad to see you here today. It has been a rough week in my personal life and this week my stitching and friends have been the biggest escape I had. Thank goodness for fabric and floss.

So, I think I will just jump right in! You may not know or remember that I stitch two days at the Mall with some friends and the rest of the week I stitch another project at home. I normally spin the Tiny Decision wheel to help me decide what to stitch unless something is on a deadline. Well, that was a failure this week! I spun the wheel and it came up to the Temperature Library. I was happy and packed up my supplies. When I tried to stitch at the Mall it required me to turn to a certain page to get the temps and another page for the color and finally another page to get to the chart. Aye yi yi! I felt like I spent all my time looking for stuff! LOL so now I know everything can't leave home and get stitched.

Kristi’s Corner Needlework

I put in 61 stitches this week.

So, I spun the wheel AGAIN! This time I landed on another big one; the Stephen King House! I wish it was a real house so we could get a glimpse of all the movies and their stars in one place. I got a good start on this Friday and I will continue it for the next two weeks.

I added 127 stitches to the house on Friday.

I also went to work on on my ornaments, with one little change. Since I was having so much trouble with the Snowman ornament I looked around the site for another and lo and behold there was another! I decided to give it a try and so far so good! I hope my luck holds out until he is finished.

The World of Cross Stitching

I put in 510 stitches on this new start Snowman

And that is about it for the week!

I have answered quite a few of the comments I had sitting in my inbox and I hope to be able to answer more this week along with leaving some comments for you guys!

I hope that you have a great week coming up and you are able to get in lots of stitches.

Before I sign off for today I would like to ask that if you are a praying person to please say a prayer for my family. I can't say what it is as it is not my need, but I do appreciate it. THANK YOU

Love you guys!
Stay safe and out of trouble, but stitch a lot!

My Sunday Stitchy Update 12/22/24

Hello Everyone! I hope you are all ready for the holidays. If not, you don't have very much time to get ready! I was finishing my ornaments this week but ran into a few problems so I can't show them yet. I will explain the problems next week when I have them ready; I just don't know what I was thinking.

I have decided to drop two of the groups I am in, the one with the prompts in and another similar group for 2025. I will finish out the year then that is it. I think I will only do the two groups with the acrostics instead. The groups I am leaving seem to be taking up a lot of my time because I feel I have to get all the prompts or other activities complete and lately it is making me not want to stitch or do anything else. There are more things than just that swaying my decision but they are not that important to anyone but me. So anyways ~ let's get down to the important business!

I did get in some stitching this week so let me show you what I managed to accomplish!

Contra
I added 103 stitches

100 stitches added to this one

Stitched an additional 103 stitches

Put in an additional 201 stitches

And that was it for the week!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope that everyone
has a blessed Christmas and that Santa brings you the gift of your dreams.

Love to all

My Sunday Stitchy Update 10/06/24

Hello Everyone! I am glad you made it here.

We are still having record making days of high temperatures here! As much as I love the heat, I think I am ready for some cooler weather. Everyone you talk to is miserable and I think it is because they can't spend any time outdoors. When we meet at our local mall to stitch it is crowded with people trying to stay cool while getting out of the house.

There is not much more happening on my end. How is it going with all of you? I hope all is well with everyone.

So I would like to show you my stitching for the last week.

The first thing I stitched was the Vase of Flowers. I needed to stitch something with water. Although you can't actually see the water it is a given that there will be some for the flowers.  I can't believe how many stitches there are in this small piece! I feel like I will never finish the blue background.

Progress 09/30/24
Added another 204 stitches

Then the next day I was to stitch on a WIP that has shifted my focus away from my older WIPs and lately that has been the Stephen King House. I am very anxious to get started on Stephen King's characters so I am sticking this chart in anywhere I can!

Progress 10/01/24
added 107 stitches

After that I needed to stitch on a WIP with something scary in it. Personally Dinosaurs are pretty scary to me. If I was somewhere and saw one I don't know what kind of reaction I would have besides trying to get as far away from them as I could! How about you??

110 stitches added over two days

Then I need a WIP that represents something I dream about. This was a tough one but they didn't say it couldn't be a day dream! I am constantly thinking about the temperatures and the books that will go on the shelves. The way I see it all the books are going to be one stinking color because our temperatures here hover around the same numbers day in and day out. I do think I have an idea though so stay tuned to see what it is going to be!

So that brought me to the prompt that wants me to stitch on a WIP that contains something that can be found in, or represents California. Well this is a new piece, that is now a WIP! When you travel through the Southwest states of USA you will find tons of cacti because we are located in the desert. I live in Arizona and the Saguaro Cactus are a protected plant meaning there are laws in place that prevent theft or destruction of a Saguaro. If they interfere with private construction projects, state permits are required to move the specimen out of the way. They also have a respected place among native people in Arizona. Sorry I went off in a different direction!

Well that about covers everything in my week. Once again thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy your week and I hope you get in some stitching!

My Sunday Stitchy Update 08/04/24

Happy Sunday Everyone!  We have been having storms and power surges on and off all week so I will try to make this a quick post even if I do have about what seems like a million photos for this post!

I stitched a different project each day because of the Stitching Olympics over on Instagram. So here we go!

Day 3, Stitch something related to summer

So even though I LOVE summer I found myself lacking any summer charts! Since we are encouraged to get creative with our selections this was what I came up with! I will be recording the summer temperature eventually!

Day 7, Stitch on one of your oldest WIPs.

Well I  I had one in 2004 but I couldn't find it so this piece had to fill in for it because is the oldest one I could find. I started this one in 2011. I finished the June Flower last month and now moved on to the February one.
