My Sunday Stitchy Update 03/15/26

Morning Everyone! I hope you are having a great weekend. We are having terrific weather here. When I was young I thought this was normal for Arizona since they said it is "always hot in Arizona" and when you are young you take everything as literal. We have been between the 70s and 90s all March! It is even  supposed to be over 100 later this week! I must admit, it is even to hot for me this early in the year. Sorry if you were some of the people who had one summer day and then snow the next day. That was pretty crazy!

This week when I spun the wheel, I landed on The Autumn Seasonal Quilt and all week I have been trying to finish this darn quilt! I think that tomorrow it will finally be done and I can move on to other parts of this project; and to think that I have three more seasons to get through!

So let's see what kind of progress I made...

Added 874 stitches this week.

So that is it for the stitching this week!

As for the books I didn't do that good this week. I couldn't concentrate on listening or reading so I did neither. I did start the second book in the Dark Tower series; The Drawing of the Three. In my opinion. for what that's worth - it is just a little better than the first in terms of the back and forth, past, present and future. People keep telling me to hang in there, they get better... oh goodness; I certainly hope so!

Moving on to my head injury, it is still looking pretty ugly. I think I will call and see if I can get some antibiotics for the big bump on my forehead because it is looking pretty bad and I can't really tell if the swelling is going down or not. It is funny how people will avoid looking at or talking to you when you look like this!

Anyways. I think that is it from me for now.

Have a wonderful stitch filled week!

Stay safe.

My Sunday Stitchy Update 03/08/26

Morning! I hope that everyone got enough sleep last night since the clocks had to move ahead!! I am glad that I don't have to deal with that anymore; all that moving the clock forward and backward can be annoying!

This week I had a bit of an accident! We only have ONE step in front of our home and I managed to fall right off it and spend hours in the emergency room! I was holding on to my walker and somehow the walker took off before I was ready to go. I was holding on to my walker pretty tightly and so I managed to fall on top of it while hitting the driveway.

This is how I looked!

It is still pretty painful and I hope it is finished looking worse before it gets better! My daughter showed the Doctors the Ring video and they said I was lucky there was no concussion or breaks because I hit the ground so hard. I can finally hold my eye open most of the way now so I hope I can drive.

Designer - Nicole Dostal

I still managed to stitch though! I would stitch a little, rest my eyes with the compress on them and then stitch again. I was even able to get in a page finish!

I put in 735 stitches this week.
That is five finished pages and seven to go!

As for books, I didn't get much reading or listening in this week. I am only half way finished with Kamala Harris' book 107 Days. I plan (I hope) on finishing it this week.

Thanks a bunch for stopping by!
Stay safe out there in the world.

Love to you all!
