Card Holder for Little Hands

We have lots of Family Game Nights in this house.  Sometimes it is the Wii and some times board games and card games. Jacob has such a hard time holding his cards in his hand so that he can see everything and at the same time - not show everyone else what he has!  Sometimes it gets frustrating for all of us...

I saw something like this on the internet at Making It Feel Like Home and thought it would save us ALL lots of headaches! :)

I eat LOTS of oatmeal so I used two of the plastic lids
I just laid them on top of each other with the flat sides together.  Put in about 3 staples going across right under the middle of the circle.  Then I glued the lids together - both at the staples and under them down to the edge of the lid.

Then I glued some paper on the lids because of the staples. Didn't want Jacob getting "poked" or more likely - pulling them out!
And VIOLA - we are ready for the next game night; probably this weekend!
Who knew something so simple would work wonders

My great-grandma made these card holders waaaaaay back in the 1960s-70s. She put a brad through the center. I used them all the time when she taught me how to play Canasta.
