I have been having a good week - except that summer has seem to haven taken an unexpected vacation! This weekend Chicago set the record for the second COLDEST weekend ever in July. The first coldest was in 1909 (a bit before my time ~ LOL). I am ready for the return of the HEAT and the weather forecast says it will be back by the end of the week! :)
It was so cold last night that when we went outside to sit around the firepit...
I was also wrapped in my blanket!
Today Jacob decided that he wanted to cook dinner with his mom's assistance. Here he is making chicken fingers for dinner.
They were delicious!
Now for the stitching... I haven't really had the stitchy bug lately. Not sure where he disappeared to but I FINALLY picked up Dinosaurs on Friday.
Got quite a few x's put in but still not
finished with page 3 - hopefully one day soon!
Thanks for taking a peek at my stitching
see ya next week with another faithful update!

Dinosaurs is looking great! It's wonderful that your son wants to cook.
Great progress. I think the weather has gone crazy everywhere!
We were camping over the weekend and it was sure nice sitting around a roaring campfire. The dinosaurs are looking great. Love that your son wants to cook!
It was the 3rd coldest weekend on record here. It's awesome that Jacob is learning to cook at such a young age.
Stitching looks good.
Looks like a future chef on your hands! Love your dinosaurs piece! Wonderful work!
