This weekend was International Hermit and Stitch Weekend and to help do my part in stitching the weekend away on Saturday I attended the 2014 Chicago Stitching Get Together. There were about 30 or so stitchers there from all over the US and Canada and it goes on for the entire weekend starting on Thursday and going thru Sunday. This is my 3rd time attending and I think a great time was had by all!
This is a picture of me, Mary my dear stitchy friend of many years and Genie a newer stitchy friend who is also the organizer of the event.
And here is my stitching for the week
I have continued working on
Stained Glass
from Love Thy Thread
All of the black is finished on the first page and now
I just need to finish filling it in with the variegated thread.
I think that I like how it is turning out.
Thanks for taking a peek at my stitching
see ya next week with another faithful update!

Ooh, I forgot to sign up with IHSW this month, so glad that you did, though. Great progress on your stained glass piece.
What beautiful progress you have made Faith! Also your stitching gathering sounds like great fun. I always love visiting Chicago :)
Wonderful progress Faith.

Wow I'm feeling stupid... I've been reading your blog on and off for some time now... guess what? I'm the Dani who was there from Canada!
Well I guess it was great to meet you... sometimes I feel like we need to walk around with name tags that also identify us by blog!
Lovely stitching & so wish I could go for a little crafty weekend away :)
Great progress on your stitching. Hope you had a great weekend.
