Last week if you recall I had started working on the last ornament in the 12 Days of Christmas series, but I needed to stop to get my family's annual ornaments for the tree started and finished!
I started with this one because it has to go out in the mail.
Merry Christmoose
Funny thing about this ornament. I just "glanced" at the pattern and was thinking it was a Reindeer, ha ha it's not! My daughter pointed out that it is a MOOSE! So I said that's ok, it is a cute moose and went on. Then while stitching his antlers, I noticed that is a snake on his head and NOT garland like I thought. Oh WOW, now what should I do?!?! So I cut a few stitches off of the snake to make it look more like garland. I hope I was successful because I was over halfway finished at that point. LOL That will teach me to read EVERYTHING next time I get ready to stitch a pattern; after all this was called "Moose with a snake" (I renamed it) which would have solved ALL my stitching problems up front if I would have just paid attention.
Thanks for taking a peek at my stitching
see ya next week with another faithful update!

Haha, great save, hes adorable!
I love him. Moose are one of my very favorite animals. When we get to Yellowstone I'm always looking to find a moose. Some of them are quite beautiful. Your stitch came out adorable!!!! RJ
Haha what a story. He's cute anyway.
Good save Faith! If you tell the recipient they will certainly remember you every time they hang it!
He looks like a reindeer to me! What a funny story.
What a cute ornament Faith.

Lol, so cute! I have seen this moose around and hope to stitch it one day. I had no idea it was a snake, I honestly thought it was a tinsel too!!!
How funny! Hahaha! He is lovely!! :)
This design is lovely and better I think without the snake.
You truly are creative! Great job on fixing it!
A great save! And a lovely festive Moose! x
Too funny! I wonder about that snake. What was the designer thinking???
A moose with a snake, hmmmm. Ok for the moose but I think I would have changed something about the snake as well, lol.
