My Sunday Stitchy Update 06/21/20

First of all I would like to say Happy Father's Day to all the Dads, Mom, Grandparents, Uncles, Brothers and anyone else who has stepped up and helped raise the children out there.

In our home my grandson Jacob's 'dad' didn't want to be involved so rather than no dad Matt (my son) stepped up and did stuff with Jacob. He can't do a lot because of his disability but likes to take him places like the movies and other fun spots. He has also shown him how to be a respectful young man. So in the place of Father's Day our family's tradition is to celebrate Uncle's Day to honor him for his role in Jacob's life. We have passed our holiday idea on to other families who now also celebrate Uncle's Day!

Now for the stitching...

As I mentioned in my last post my floss order came in! Yay I couldn't wait to finish up that moon.

Mini Finish 06/15/20

and then what do you know...

FINISHED all the stitching on the Halloween Banner!! It felt so satisfying putting in the last stitch.

Here it is with all the stitching finished. It still needs to meet an iron, have the buttons attached and to be FFO'd but for now I am HAPPY.

Finished  06/15/20

As you can see it took a bit of time because the frog seemed to visit this piece a lot but I love it.

After that I picked up another piece to stitch for the rest of the week; Dog Lessons for People. I worked on it and worked on it trying to finish it up this week but it didn't happen. I do think it will be finished in the next day or two though.

here is where I started

and here is where I am now!
Progress 06/21/20

Hope to show it to you again next week!

Oh and here is a freebie I saw on Facebook for those of you who like Samplers...
it is appropriately named Pandemic and it is from Long Dog Samplers. It is only available for free until 08.59am BST (which I think will be 3:59am EST) June 26th 2020; so don't wait!!

Thanks so much for stopping by,
see ya next week with another faithful update!

Your Halloween piece/finish looks super, Faith. You don't have much more to go on the Dog piece.

Enjoy your week!

Lovely finish on the Halloween design....it looks fantastic. I saw the freebie on fb too, but know that i would never get round to stitching it, but a lovely gesture from LDS.

What a wonderful idea to celebrate Uncle's Day with Matt and Jacob--very special that he stepped in to do so many fun things with Jacob!

Your stitching is so cute--especially love the paw print fabric! I don't have a dog, but it would be a great gift piece for some of my friends who do :)

Enjoy your week, Faith! ♥

Congratulations on your Halloween finish. It looks amazing even wrinkly. I have one of them too but it's from a different year and haven't started it yet but you have inspired me to.
Great job!!

Congratulations on your Halloween Happy Dance! Now that's finished, I'm wondering which of your remaining (or new) projects your friendly frogs will move on to next? They seem to like your Halloween projects in particular, so maybe you should steer clear of that theme for a while! :)
