My Sunday Stitchy Update 12/26/21

Merry Day After Christmas.

I hope that Santa was good to you and that he has brought all of you some things that were on your crafty list!

I am sure many of you are exhausted today; especially if there are small children in your household and they want to play with every single thing they received at the same time! I miss those days... my babies are all grown up and Jacob (my grandson) is 16 already and at the moment not really interested in hanging out with the adults when he could be on the PlayStation with his friends instead!

That's okay though; we know where he is and that he is happy and had a good day!

Well it seems as though I have not shown any stitching progress since the 5th. Sorry about that but finally this week I was up to stitching again.  I have made some pretty good progress on the Merry Christmas piece.

Merry Christmas
Designer - Art to Heart

This is how it looked the last time I blogged about it on 12/5/21

This is how it looked on 12/21

As I was stitching it I realized that the two colors they were using for the M were practically the same color! They had 349 (fill) and 3801 (snowflakes) which made it impossible to actually see the snowflakes! I then invited the frog over for a quick visit which ended up taking two days to rip everything out of the M and start it again. Why didn't I notice that before I stitched it?? I have no idea!

Progress 12/26/21

Now it looks like this where you can actually see the pretty snowflakes all stitched up.  So I have finally finished the word MERRY and plan to at least get started on CHRISTMAS tonight or tomorrow.

Has anyone made stitching plans for 2022?   I would love to read them if you have and you will post them on your Blog. I have seen a couple already and they sound ambitious! I plan on getting mine together and posting in the next couple of days. They are not really exciting but I feel once I write them down I have a better chance of actually accomplishing them.

Thanks for stopping by,
see ya next time!

Yes, you definitely needed to invite the frogs in! Too often we take charts for granted because we trust that they've been properly reviewed, but your white snowflakes look a million times better than the original chart!
Haha... plans for 2022, 2023 and 2024! And I've even pencilled in something for 2025! I'll post my all-too-extensive plans for 2022 on 1st January and look forward to reading yours. :)

Oh my goodness!! Your white for the stars is such an improvement, they really shine now!! What a ton of work to frog. Great progress on the chart now!!

I am going to try and stitch more, it's a pain because I can only stitch for short amounts of time before the hands go numb. I'm going to start with 12/22 ornaments that Carol from stitching dreams hosts. I'll pick simple ornaments to stitch and then finish them a bit more elaborate so they look like something. And, I'll put one big project on my big stand and try to do a bit on it each day. I just have to decide what project I want to stitch more!

Looking forward to your post showing your plans!!

Great change and beautiful progress. Yeah I'm making very reasonable plans. Mostly a lot of do whatever I want type plans haha.
