My Sunday Stitchy Update 11/10/24

Happy Sunday Everyone! I hope you had a great week. The Summer weather lasted forever and now the Fall weather has come in strong to announce it's arrival. I wish it would have crept in slowly so I could get used to the chilly air gradually! But you guys know Mother Nature, she does things her way and we just have to adjust.

Oh yeah, when I was answering posts this week I noticed that EVERYONE was set to No Reply. They must have had some kind of update or something that changed everyone's post settings. The sad part is I can't see how to change mine back. I looked through the settings but couldn't find the one needed to change it. If you know how to do it, can you please please please let me know too. Thanks.

Well I have stitched the week away to the prompts and while I missed one (laziness) I still got stuff accomplished. So here are this weeks prompts and the pieces I thought fit in with them.

The first prompt I worked on was to "Stitch away on my oldest WIP it to grant it some new life." I started this piece in 2011. I do have one older than this but it must be packed somewhere secret because I can't find it! This is the fourth flower of the twelve for this piece.

Flowers of the Month
January, Carnation
Worked on on 11/04/24 and added 102 stitches.

The next prompt was to "Stitch on an item with a dog" which I was more than happy to do because I would like to move this one to the completed pile!

Home is Where the Dog Is
I added 139 stitches on 11/05/24.

Another prompt they listed was "Stitch in one of these colours; Orange, Teal, Pink or Indigo." Well I just so happened to have something in Orange to stitch so here it goes; a pumpkin used by the trick or treaters to collect their candy stash!

Spooky & Sweet
Fat Quarter Shop

That was 241 pumpkin stitches on 11/06/24.

Just an FYI in case you don't already know; the Fat Quarter Shop often offers
FREE cross stitch charts. They also have some FREE quilting charts for you.

Now they would like it if I stitched in another color. "Let’s bring a little more Joy to our lives by stitching in yellow!" At first I couldn't find anything after but looking through all the WIPs I lucked out! I found something with some yellow.

Santa Fe Christmas
I put 246 stitches into the moon on 11/08/24 and it's not finished!

The last prompt I worked on this week was "Stitch on a project with a book." I am nor sure this will qualify or not since you can't see the actual books yet! If it doesn't count I have asked for it to be a penalty stitch instead. I was going to stitch a couple of books on to it but I can't make up my mind as to which color pallet I want to follow. More on that at a later date. 😉

Temperature Library
Kristi DiClemente

I also put in 323 stitches to add on the bottom shelf of this piece between
11/07/24 & 11/09/24. I am getting closer and closer to adding the books!

So that was 1,051 for the week which is not to bad for me.

So that about wraps up my week of stitching.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great week and stay safe no matter what you are doing.

Another productive week in stitching for you, Faith! We finally had some seasonal fall temps here beginning Friday or maybe it was Saturday. Have a wonderful week!

Oh, Faith! Isn't that change to the no-reply status frustrating! I have the same problem and have no way to fix it that I know of. It's really like Blogger is making it harder and harder for people to connect via blogs--so sad. Lovely progress on your projects--I'm curious to see what Santa Fe Christmas will look like. I was only in Santa Fe once probably 25 or 30 years ago, but really enjoyed it and hope to go back. Hope your November is going well! ♥

Beautiful work on everything! Keep it up.

Grr I can't find the way to change it either. How frustrating. I love my blog and don't want to lose it.

Here the same with Blogger. It is very frustrating.

Other projects again this week, you have some wips, but you also seem to enjoy stitching on all the different projects.
Have fun, Martina
