My Sunday Stitchy Update 07/06/25

Welcome Everyone!

I hope you are doing well! Where you able to get in any stitching time? I hope you were.

This week I tried to keep busy working on three different pieces. But I found that I had this problem while stitching and it is called... watching TV shows and documentaries! I was concentrating on them and neglected my stitching; among other things!  I always watch TV while stitching but I guess this week the television was more interesting than the needle. So I didn't get in a lot of stitches this week.

First, I worked on the Quilt Blocks. I was hoping to finish this last block but unfortunately I didn't quite get there! I am not going to say this is the week because that always seem to jinx my plans. So maybe you can just come back next week to see where I get to.

Loretta Oliver

Put in 141 this week.

Then one of the ladies in our stitching group wanted us to stitch something patriotic on the Fourth of July,  So I dug through my WIPs and came up with this piece featuring a flag. I changed the wording from "Long May You Stitch" to "Long May You Wave" because it just seemed like the right thing to stitch. I noticed I still have some of the white stripes to stitch and I have to finish the pole. I did finish the stars on the top but I guess I put the wording over it.

Added 111 stitches this week.

And last but not least... I worked on the Reindeer Ornament. This piece suffered the most because of watching the TV but I am getting him finished. I think he is looking pretty good and he will look awesome when he is assembled!

I added 174 stitches this week.

Well that is it for the week, we have been around 100° each day but we finally got a little rain. We are suppose to get some more this week and I hope we do. It helps cool things down a little

Thank you so much for stopping by to see me!
I hope to see you back here again next week.

Each piece you worked on looks great, Faith. You are so close to finishing your quilt piece. Go Faith!

Yes, tv can definitely be distracting... I try to watch shows that I don't really have to follow closely, but if it is a complicated plot, I have to put down my stitching in order to follow it :) Love seeing your progress--I predict a finish on that pretty blue quilt WIP by next Sunday! Enjoy your (hot!) week ♥
