My Sunday Stitchy Update 10/26/25

Well Hello Friends! Nothing new and exciting here except the heat came back and we are in the 80s again! Doesn't bother me since I love the heat which is why we moved to the desert. LOL This week though I especially welcome the heat with NO RAIN so the kiddos can Trick or Treat.  I love seeing the little ones all dressed up as their favorite Disney Princess, Super Hero or whatever they are.

So let's move on to the stitching! Last week I forgot to show you my grandson's Chicago Blackhawk logo that I FFO'd. He loves it and it is hanging on his wall all ready. 😊

This week I also worked a little more on the snowman. Then since I had used all of the white floss they sent with the kit I picked up a skein of it out of my stash and continued stitching away. Then I looked at it in the light and I saw that the snowman had stripes (circled in the middle picture)! I ended up frogging it a bit and picked out another white which matched better. Who knew the whites would vary so much!

Added 198 chilly stitches this week.

So the plastic aida vinyl arrived late last week and I got to start on the Santa ornament. So far he only has shoes and the fur around the bottom of his coat but he has to start somewhere!

Santa 3D Ornament

His start consists of 481 stitches.

Sometimes I look at a piece like this and wonder how in the world is that 500 stitches since it looks so small. LOL

Well friends, at 2:00 am I think I am finally sleepy. I have had a weird sleep schedule for as long as I remember. I can be so tired but as soon as I lay down I am wide awake. It is not ideal but I am used to it and when everyone is asleep the house is very quiet because even the dogs and the cockatiel are quiet and I enjoy the quietness.

I will continue on the ornaments next week, since I still have two, well one for certain and the second if I can squeeze it in, that I would like to finish before the holiday.

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my stitching for the week.

Stay safe out there in the world and I hope you will stop by again next Sunday.

The Black Hawks piece looks fantastic, Faith. You are making great progress on both ornaments. You can keep the heat.

The logo turned out great! No wonder he loves it. I don't like the heat, I really live in the wrong country Ha Ha. Good luck with your ornaments. Mr. Snowman looks very cool with his chilly stitches

Your Blackhawks finish turned out great, Faith! Sorry about the mis-matched white threads, but I'm glad you were able to get them pulled out and are now back to work on that cute snowman. I'm the same way with sleep--I am exhausted and struggling to stay awake around 4:00 in the afternoon when I sit down to stitch, but by 11 at night I'm wide awake even though I haven't napped. I usually go to bed around midnight now--sleep is definitely a struggle on some nights :(
