My Sunday Stitchy Update 01/24/26

Good Morning Stitchers, I hope that if you are in the path of snowstorm that is hitting the States this weekend that you are keeping safe and warm inside your home.

In the meantime while I am waiting for my family and friends to check in from the East Coast, I have been stitching! I have been working hard on these two projects, trying to finally finish them, but no luck this week.

First off, I have continued my stitching on Contra. Boy, the designer really packed in the stitches on these trees! I felt like I was never going to get finished, but I think this week will be it for Contra!

I put in 434 stitches on Contra

I only have the area towards the bottom where the dark green stitches are to finish up by going all the way across. THANK GOODNESS! LOL

Then I worked on the I Stitch Sampler at our cross stitch get together again this week.  I was putting in the decorative stems from the flowers when I noticed I did not finish the border. I was suppose to connect each set of stitches to one another, so I am trying to do that as I work on the flowers.

I put 171 back stitches in this one this week.

On this one I need to add the stems, finish the border and do the backstitching. Sounds simple right? Unfortunately, the ones that sound simple never seem to be.

Thanks for stopping by everyone! Hope you enjoyed my update.

And remember, where ever you are
stay inside, stay safe and warm!

See ya next time!

Both pieces are getting closer on being finished, Faith. Well done on your progress! It is currently raining (probably the freezing variety since it is on 18 degrees) here (our snow total was maybe 3 to 5 inches versus the 8 to 12 that was forecast). But it will be really messy for the next 6-7 days. Stay warm!

I sure wish I was in AZ right now, Faith! We got a foot of snow so far today and it's still coming. Unfortunately, we are not getting above the freezing mark until sometime in mid-February. It's SO, SO cold--0° here yesterday morning... Enjoy the rest of your January! ♥

My Hubby's sister and family live in Michigan, they woke to -23°C the other morning. Here in the middle of the UK it's been damp and dreary for over a week, very gloomy. Good luck with your finishing, not much to do
