My Sunday Stitchy Update 05/03/26

Hi Everyone! I hope you have been doing well. I have been enjoying the weather and doing lots of stitching! I have a lot of old projects and that is exactly what the wheel has been landing on lately. The benefit is that I can get some work in on my old pieces and maybe even get some of those WIPs finished off eventually!

We have been having a lot of crazy weather; hot days followed by chilly days and then more warm days. I figure as long as there are NO freezing days I am coming out ahead!

So here are the pieces I have been working on.

04/19

Love In Stitches

This chart originally said "Long May You Stitch" but I changed Stitch to Wave. I liked that saying better and I think it has more meaning for everyone involved.

Finished this piece with 384 stitches!

04/25
January, Carnation
After that I spun the wheel again and it landed on one VERY old WIP! I said to the wheel 'What is wrong with you! Can't you see I have been avoiding this one for YEARS!' LOL But I pulled it out of  the WIP Box anyway because that was the deal I made with myself. Whatever it lands on, that is what I stitch! Once I started it I decided that I will work on it until I finish the January flower, Carnation.
The Carnations needed 1,186 stitches to finish them!
So that is five flowers down and seven to go.

05/02
So I still had some time to spin the wheel again, so I spun it and I landed on Gnome Place Like Home. I was surprised to see that I had only completed half of a hat. Then I started stitching the rest of the hat and I remember that there are a lot of half stitches that I am not crazy about! Anyways, I finished the other half of the hat and plan on continuing on this chart later today.

I put in 94 stitches today.

And that is all of the stitching I did this week!

I also listened to some books!

Well like I predicted, Run on Red by Noelle Ihli was NOT very suspenseful to me but I finished it anyways. It was just ok on my scale, but I am sure others loved it. When I finished that, the next book was The Housemaid's Wedding by Freida McFadden. This is the third book in a series of four about the housemaid and how she protects abused women. I would probably rate this series a six out of ten. I then listened to a Stephen King book called The Body. If you have ever seen the movie The Stand that movie came from that book. The next one which I am listening to now is called The First Time I Saw Him by Laura Dave. The jury is still out since I just started it. Goodreads says I read the first book in the series but I don't remember it and I am hoping this book will jog my memory but I guess that is to be expected when there are five years between books.

Well that is all my adventures since my last post! I hope you also had a great adventure or two.

Have a wonderful week

and

Please Stay Safe and Take Care.

What fun you are having Faith , your like me stitching on many designs , I find it fun rather than staying with the same one I get fed up , and then go off my stitching , Every thing gets stitched in the end .If you rotate . We have had strange weather this year to one day hot then cold , but it was a warmer winter .
Have a great week hugs June.

Well done on your finishes, Faith! Both are so pretty. Will you continue on with the gnome piece or spin the wheel for something else? Have a wonderful week!

Happy Spring Faith: Nice progress on your works in progress, I am happy you changed the words from stitch to Wave, very good idea.
I am reading Local Woman Missing by Mary Kubica, a very suspenseful book, the other book is a true account of a family immigrating to the USA from Laos, the Hmong people helped the USA during Vietnam, very heart wrenching.
Thank-you for the heads-up on your book reading.
