My Sunday Stitchy Update

Well...it is snowing here in the Chicago area!  It started yesterday in the early evening hours and it has been snowing ever since, that's over 24 hours so far!   This afternoon we were at 8 inches but it is still coming down and they predict it to go on until sometime Monday morning - yuck! Many schools and businesses in the area have already announced that they will be closed tomorrow. So it sounds like a pj day for this family!

Jacob and his mom went out to play in the snow and they built a snowman; and named him Sterling.

On the stitching front this week I worked on The Wizard of Oz and I think I did as much ripping out and as I did stitching! I just couldn't get the Tin Man to cooperate for some reason! Hopefully next time this comes up in rotation hopefully I will finish the second page!

Oz looks great in spite of the unco-operative tin man and frogs.

Love the snow pictures - at least someone is enjoying it.

Faith, it's been a l-o-n-g time since I've been active on blogs, Yahoo Groups --- anything but Facebook. I've really struggled since we moved.

I can't believe what a big boy Jacob is getting to be, and he's always been handsome but gets more so every time I see him. It's so cute to see him having fun in the snow... such a nice neighborhood you live in, Faith! For me, it's surprising to see such nice-size lots in ChicagoLand. In many places, like closer to the city, I'm assuming, the homes are crammed into narrow lots, and the houses are designed to fit on those narrow lots. Dick's cousin's house looks small from the front but has a nice finished basement and the house stretches out to the back instead of side to side. Those houses in your neighborhood look roomier and seem to have good-sized yards.

Hey, I do love the Wizard of Oz design! Was it in the July 2014 issue of CS Gold? My daughter would LOVE that, being a W of O fanatic. Brooke's Books also has smalls of the characters I need to order for her. Your stitching is so pretty!

Your Wizard is coming along very well - even though the frog came a visitin'. Sure hope he leaves soon.
