My Sunday Stitchy Update

Evening Friends!

I hope that everyone has had a wonderful week!

We had a bit of bad news in our home this week, our faithful dog had to be put down on Saturday. His name was Pest and he was our great friend, protector, comforter and companion for twelve wonderful years and he will be truly missed. The Vet did all she could for him but in the end after talking with the Vet, Matt (my son, Pest was really his dog) decided it would be best if they let him go rather than let him live a painful miserable life.

Now on to my stitching for the week!

As you know this month I am participating in Justine's Just One July. I noticed I was having a bit of trouble seeing the fabric. I broke my LAST pair of "good" glasses and had to pull out an old pair and I just can't see as well when I am stitching and reading. I guess I will have to get some new glasses but when you need bi-focals they are costly! So...in the meantime I bought this magnifier from Amazon and I started using it today. It is really helping me with seeing the fabric so I think I may really start moving along on Dinosaurs this week!
It can either attach to your desk/table or sit on top of it and I love it! It is an great addition to my stitching stash!!

Here is my stitching progress...

see ya next week with another faithful update!

So sorry for the loss of your furry friend.
Love your dinosaurs! Have eye troubles, too. And you are correct, bifocals cost a fortune. Happy your magnifier is working out for you.

Faith, I'm so sorry about Pest. Our pets become so much part of the family that they leave a huge hole.

Dinosaurs looks terrific. It will be fun to see how much you get done this month.

Sorry for your loss Faith. Nice progress on Dinosaurs. My blog does that with pics once in a while. The only way I can fix it is to delete the post and start over.

My condolences on the loss of your furbaby. :(

Glad to see you found a new tool to help you with stitching. I agree... bifocals are EXPENSIVE!

Stitchy progress looks great.

I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of Pest. He looked like he was such a wonderful pal to your son.
Sounds like your magnifier is going to work out well. Let us know how it goes as you use it.

Hey Faith I know what you mean about varifocals. I just had to replace mine and my husbands too! Sorry to hear that Pest (what a fabulous name!) had to be put to sleep. I lost my last cat to cancer and had to put her to sleep some time ago. Pets leave a large whole in our lives. Dinosaurs is comming on - nice to see another colour creeping in there.

I only stitch with my magnifier lamp and it is so relaxing for the eyes.

I am so sorry about Pest!! Will Matt be getting a new dog? I have trifocals so I understand about the cost! Dinosaurs is coming along great!!!

So sorry to read about Pest.
I am new to the bifocal club and have to agree they are expensive.
I too am using an LED light/magnifier and realised I can't do with it. So, better stitch as much as we can while we still can :)
More reasons to add little crosses on Dinosaurs!
It looks great, well done.
