My Sunday Stitchy Update 10/29/17

First things first, I had some happy mail this week!

First off I would like to say Thank You to Tiffany over at TiffStitches a blog for the wonderful leaflet she sent to me.  She was clearing out a few things from her stash and she asked if I would like something and I picked...

Santa's 12 Days of Christmas
Days 5 - 8
Designer - The Prairie Schooler
Now I will be hunting for
the other days in the series!

Then I received my order from DMC! I ordered the new colors. Yes, I promised myself I wouldn't but something just came over me and well here they are in my stash!

Here they are in their tin case
which was much larger
than I thought it would be!
and here they are in all their
beautiful colorful glory!
 Such a wonderful sight!
Now to bobbinate them and put them in my floss cabinet.

Then I went to pick up the ceramics we painted last weekend.

The pictures show how they looked
before and after they were fired.
Coffin
Painter - Matt

Pineapple Mug
Painter - Jacob

Halloween Pumpkin
Painter - Me

Now for the stitching...

Well I let my fingers go walking through my box of  thru my WIP / UFO box and they stopped on a piece that was almost finished, Shades of Blue!

This is where I was on Monday when I finally picked this piece back up

Shades of Blue
Progress as of 10/23/17

and here it is now...

Progress as of 10/29/17

I hope to finish it by the end of the month or soon thereafter
so I can begin my November things!

Thanks for taking a peek at my stitching
see ya next week with another faithful update!

And remember these words:
Kindness is the greatest
 beauty that you can have,
so take some time to be kind!

How nice to be the recipients of the PS Santas, they will always be popular. I have never done ceramics but it looks like fun, how the colors deepen after firing. How long did the Northern Expressions languish in your UFO drawer, it's gorgeous and you have so little left to do!!

I'm glad it arrived safely and hope you can find the others. :) If I come across any I'll nab them. Great work on NE, and you should be done very soon. Great pottery too! We had a place that closed this June, sad as there's nothing else close by.

Great for you go receive the PS chart from Tiffany. I'm sure that you will find the remaining ones ,too.
The ceramics look fantastic, particularly the coffin, lol.
Wonderful progress on the blue project. And it looks like your are on the home stretch on it. I think I would have bought the new DMC colours as well :))
