This week we did it, we have had our first 90° day of the year! That means summer is coming! YAY That is the best season there is.
This week the piece that jumped out of the WIP Box was Pretty Little Chicago. I haven't worked on it in almost a year so it is way past it's time to come out and get some stitches.
Pretty Little Chicago
Designer - Satsuma Street
Progress 05/02/21
This week I seemed to have only finished what we affectionately call the "Bean" which is that blue blobby looking thing there at the bottom. It is actually called "Cloud Gate Sculpture" and was designed by an Indian-born British artist Sir Anish Kapoor. I practically worked across the street from it and I have visited it many times. It is a huge tourist attraction for people visiting Downtown Chicago. If you are interested you can read more about it here!
Since I have quite a bit to stitch on this piece in order to finish it, I think I will keep it out again next week and see if I can make some progress.

Thanks for taking a peek at my stitching
see ya next week with another faithful update!

What a nice stitch Faith .
Enjoy your week and your stitching .
Nice that you stitch on this piece.
Have a nice week. Manuela
I so love all of the Pretty Little Cities. I have quite a few of them started. Yours looks great.

I love the look of the Satsuma Street designs, but I have never tried them. Wish they could do some Swedish locations, haha!! Well done for picking up an old WIP:D
It's so nice to see this one getting some love again, Faith! I was only in Chicago once on a very long layover, but did get down to Millennium Park to see "The Bean." My boys were younger then and really enjoyed it! How long did you live in Chicago?
Glad you're happy with the summer weather. I love it too except for the humidity which I guess you don't get much of in AZ! Enjoy your week ♥
Pretty Little is very colorful and full of small; that's my favorite type of stitching! I have to disagree with you about summer having the best weather, though. I think it has the worst, but then I prefer it coolish.
A lovely project. Here's to warmer days.
Your Chicago is coming along so well! I went to school near Chicago, but the "bean" had not yet been installed at that time so I'm not sure I ever saw it in person!
Been there. Great work!
I think I prefer the 'Blue Blobby Thing' to the 'Cloud Gate Sculpture'. This must have been a pleasure to return to after such an absence. :)
