My Sunday Stitchy Update 01/08/23

Hello Everyone.  I hope your 2023 is off to  great start!!

Do you have a lot of craft projects lined up for the year? Or are you a person who just picks something as you go?

I used to be a person who made these big elaborate plans deciding what to stitch for the entire year and getting everything all kitted up and ready to go but now I think I like the 'just decide as I go' approach. When I get bored with something I will just put it away and get out something else. Or if I am enjoying something I will just keep stitching that piece. I think this way will be less stressful! I will only plan one "event" for myself which is Christmas in July so I can be sure to have my family's' yearly ornaments ready Well... maybe I will plan two because I love stitching Halloween and October seems perfect for that! But that is it, just the two!!

Ok, enough of that; let me show you my weekly stitching. Last week I showed you what I planned on stitching this week and I got quite a bit done on it.

The Meditative Mandala
Progress 01/08/23

I see it is a bit crooked - sorry about that!

Now I am off to see if I can finish it this afternoon
but if not, well that is what tomorrow is for.

Thanks for stopping by,
hope to see you again next week!

Stitching certainly should be enjoyed and not endured, your project plans sounds perfect. I have some important specific stitching this year so that will take priority. Happy stitching

I like your new start.
Yes its hard to plan, I think I am going to just stitch smalls and cards this year, and rotate a few large.
You just can't make plans that you have to keep up with, other wise its stress and we don't want that we need to enjoy every moment of stitching.
Happy New Year, hugs June.

Planning has been good in the past, but I'm with you this year on the 'vague plans' plan of just going with the flow and seeing what happens. Looking forward to seeing your progress and new starts as and when!

Hi Faith,
I plan two stitching projects with a friend. All the other I will see, what come.
Your little mandala looks great.
Have a nice week. Manuela

Your Mandala piece is looking good, Faith. I do make a plan for the gifts that I stitch. I don't kit them up all at once though because I have been known to change my mind about projects. In fact, I will be starting on the next batch of ornaments today. Have a good week!

I don't really plan too much with my stitching. I try, but... squirrel!
Such pretty colours, it's looking good so far.

Such a pretty piece, Faith--I do love those colors. I just stitch whatever calls my name and then I HAVE to finish it or I rarely want to go back! I am actually finishing up one that I began in 2020 right now. It feels good :)
