Well Hello Everyone! Another Sunday, Another Update. I hope that everyone is doing fine. I am doing pretty good. Nothing much happening here. The weather is still bouncing all around but hopefully it will decide that we are in Autumn and adjust accordingly! The good news is that we have R A I N today!
How was your Halloween night? Lots of Trick or Treaters? This year had quite a few Witches, Marios, Spidermen, Ninja Turtles and other characters including one Michael Jackson! It was nice to see so many kiddos out and about but we did have warmer weather (low 80s) so it is easier for them to come out and walk around. Oh yeah, sorry to all of you that lost an hour sleep because of DST. I thought they were going to pick one time zone and stick to it!
This week I have been doing some stitching using the prompts in the "Fandom Stitching Central" group on Facebook while working on the acrostics, from Facebook groups "Magazine Monthly Cross Stitch Challenge!" and the "Fun with Cross Stitch" groups. I mainly follow the Fandom prompts and I fill in the acrostics from the pieces I use for Fandom.
So now let's see what the Fandom prompts were for this past week!
Last Sunday was just a day with no prompts but I needed this for an acrostic so I stitched a little on it.
Lucky Shamrocks
On Monday they wanted me to "Stitch on a project that I absolutely love and explain why." So that would be this one with a million flowers. I just love flowers and this one has MANY to look at in all kinds of shapes, sizes and colors. It is going to take forever but I have patience; most of the time.
The Flower A Day
Designer - Carolyn Manning
Put in 117 stitches on 10/28/24
Tuesday was a fun prompt! "Stitch with blue thread or on blue fabric." Well lucky for me; I have one piece that fits both prompts! So I pulled it out and did a few stitches on it!
Quilt Block Sampler
Artist - Loretta Oliver
Stitched 169 Xs on 10/29/24
Tuesday night I had a super bad sleeping night so I pulled out this piece since there are no color changes and I stitched in bed while watching some home flipping show. I finally got tired and ready to sleep at around 3:30am so I put it away. I really don't like insomnia but it seems to go with being older.
Home is Where the Dog Is
On 10/30 there was 117 stitches were added.
Then on Wednesday and Thursday both prompts seemed Halloweenie to me so I worked on one piece for both evenings. Wednesday they thought I should "Stitch on a project with a ghost." You can't see the ghost right now but it is there in spirit! LOL Then on Monday I needed to "Stitch on a project that means Halloween to you." So this one reminds me of Halloween since it has ghosts, goblins, pumpkins and candy on it. Who wouldn't want to stitch it? LOL
Sweet and Spooky
Fat Quarter Shop
Added 113 on 10/30 and another 206 on 10/31/24.
Friday was "Stitch on a project with water, if it is not visible in your stitching." Well I can't find my Vase of Flowers! I have searched and searched to no avail. I decide to work on my Christmas ornaments instead because I REALLY need to get them done!!
Small Christmas Ornaments
On 11/01/24 I added 246 stitches.
And then on to this one... "Stitch on a project you wish would just disappear". When I say I wish it would disappear I really do! So many color changes in one section that it seems to take forever and ever. One day I hope to finally get thru this piece and my grandson really hopes so too. That is one good thing about these prompts, they give me a chance to get through a lot of different pieces for at least a few stitches.
Dinosaurs
Artist - Stephen Michael Gardner
On 11/02/24 I only added 44 Stitches but I will continue it today!
So that is just over 1,100 stitches for a successful week.

Thanks a bunch for stopping by.
I hope you enjoyed reading about my stitching at
least half as much as I enjoyed blogging about it!
Now to go work a little on those stinking dinosaurs again.

Not many people in our town go to Halloween, but we had at least two groups ring the bell.
It looks like a successful week, nice progress,
take care, Martina
It was warm here for Halloween, but we didn't have any here (our road is not conducive to walking and the houses are too far apart). You have made awesome progress on the week's pieces, Faith.
We had almost 30 trick-or-treaters this year--a new record. I have to say I was disappointed that there weren't more little kids. Most were groups of 6-8 teens at a time. They were all in costume, but I enjoy seeing the little ones much more. Great job on all of your projects--hope the vase disappears and hang in there with the dinos :) Enjoy your week, Faith! ♥
I just love all your stitching. Fun and beautiful. Oh no hope you find the vase piece soon. I hate when I misplace a piece. Hugs. Have a wonderful November.
