My Sunday Stitchy Update 08/17/25

A new week, same charts, new Xs!

I am TRYING to make progress on the snowman ornament but there is soooo much WHITE! LOL  I get tired of looking at it! I think that this week I will need to finish stitching the Penguin for Jacob's birthday card! It is coming up in September, so I need to get busy.

This week I add 586 stitched to the snowman
and I think I have a million left!

This week I also continued with my Stephen King House. There are so many black stitches that I have to count and recount and sometimes count again to make sure I have the right number of stitches in the right spot. So anyways, this is what I am stitching at the mall this week.

I only put in 134 stitches in 2 days this week.
Guess we were talking to much again!

Do any of you read Stephen King books? What is your favorite genre of books? Me; I like true crime, mysteries and police procedure type books. I also enjoy some autobiographies, and a good sappy love story every now and then! Sounds like I will read most anything! When I was still working, I switched to audiobooks since I could listen to them while I did my work. I also find I can get more books in this way! If I remember to update Goodreads, then you can always see what I am reading at the top of the column on the right. If you are a member (it’s free) there request my friendship so I can see what you are reading!

Nothing else exciting happening here except we finally got rain, but I don't think it was enough. So, I hope we will get some more soon. Plus, I love a good rain. We are still dealing with the reason for the prayer request; we have appreciated all the prayers but please don't stop if you can see to it in your heart. THANK YOU

Stay safe and I hope to see you next Sunday.

The snowman and the house are each looking good, Faith. I read one Stephen King book, but I am not a fan. I enjoy reading women's fiction (romance and southern included), cozy mysteries, nonfiction, and some historical fiction. Have a good week!

Hello Faith: The white can be annoying on some designs, you have made great progress.
The Stephen King House is really coming along. The book I read of Stephen Kings scared me so much, it was, Pet Cemetry.
I read just about anything but true crime and mystery's are my fav, I do watch On Patrol Live every Friday and Saturday evening. Love me some crime tv.

Oh dear Faith, it seems you have the black and white blues :P One of the ladies in my stitching group has finished the Stephen King house and it looks awesome. It's a shame pics don't do our wips justice. I love Stephen King books. Hard to pick a fav but I did enjoy The Stand, IT, Green Mile and The Shining. I preferred his earlier stuff tbh. I also love Dean Koontz. Horror novels, fantasy, true crime and autobiographies are my favourite genre. But yeah I'm with you, I'll pretty much read anything as long as it keeps you guessing!
