My Sunday Stitchy Update 01/18/26

Good Morning Stitchy Friends!

I hope that the new year is going in the right direction for you so far! In my experience, January always seems to go according to plan and the other months are a bit iffy! This year I hope that January and all of the months are going to follow suit for a wonderful year.

At home, this past week I have been working on the game Contra for my Nintendo piece. I have not worked on it since May of last year! I hope to have Contra finished by tomorrow (Monday) at the latest so I can move on to another block. Now for the progress on Contra

I added 603 stitches to the trees!

and there are soooo many trees... 👀

At the cross stitch get together this week I decided to work on the I Stitch Sampler. This is better for our get togethers because it doesn't require a lot of light like Contra does!

Rhona Norrie
I added 206 stitches this week.

I don't think I will add the beads to this, only the decorative stems from the flowers. Once I finish I Stitch, I think I will switch these two projects to something else in the box.

Thanks a bunch for stopping by!

Please be safe and careful out there in that crazy place we call the world
and I will see you again right here next week.

Did anyone watch the Batman cartoon in the 60s? When I write the above I always think of that show because they said something like "See you tomorrow, same Bat time, same Bat channel" after each episode.  I know, I know - I am strange! LOL  but some times things just stick in my head but it must have made a big impression on me because I think I was only seven or eight when that show was on. Oh well, that is enough silliness from me!

Have an awesome stitchy week!

Oh yes I remember Batman. January is going ok here, a bit slow but the weather doesn't help as we stay home when it's yucky. Great stitching progress

Greetings faith: Lovely progress on your stitching, I am OCD about having designs in the works, I could not let a project go that long I am so OCD< it would make me not able to sleep at night.
I agree its a crazy world not just in the US. Her in Minnesota so much is going from fraud to car jackings, so many they are not reported any longer, and all the other stuff, I do not watch the news any l, it is depressing longer.

I love your Nintendo sampler that is so cool! And yeah I used to watch the re-runs on Saturday morning. The cartoons ran from 6am to about 10am from memory and that was one of the shows. I remember that catch phrase too and still use it today LOL!!

Yes to Batman and at times, I used that expression in my classroom. You made a lot of progress this past week, Faith.
