This Week's Reads...

Guess there was no book update last week…I am going to blame the bronchitis!

So… in the last TWO weeks I have finished quite a few books :D

For the audiobooks I finished listening to the following Catherine Coulter books in the FBI Series - Double Take, Tail Spin. Knock Out and Whiplash. They were all ok…the more books I read by her the more disappointed I am. There is ONE more in the series, Split Second which I hope to pick up this weekend and I will be thru with her for a while!

I also finished reading the book Catch Me by Lisa Gardner which is the newest one in here Detective DD Warren series and I LOVED it! Had a couple of great twists and turns and the ending was good.

I also read Taken by Robert Crais which is apparently in two of his series of books; Elvis Cole and Joe Pike. It was a great book…but it was also the first one of his I read so you know what that means! I have to read both series now starting at the beginning of each. Guess another trip to the library or shopping for books for the Kindle is in order, oh darn...  LOL

But the next book up is Joanne Fluke’s Cinnamon Roll Murder which is the newest book in the Hannah Swenson series!

Thursday Night Weigh In :(

Again with the small gain, YUCKO... 

I gained 0.4 pounds which makes my overall total loss 11.6.  I am not really to upset over this because I was so sick for the last two weeks, had no appetitie and had such a great loss last week - I figured I would have a gain - but at least it is very small! :)

1.  Theresa at October Lace Stitching Notes as she is a stitching inspiration!  She fearlessly takes on large stitching projects and I love watching them come to life on her blog.  Can't wait until she starts the Sistine Chapel!

2.  Patti at Rocky Mountain Stitcher as she is another one who stitches beautifully and I love seeing her finishes.

3.  Connie from Remake Remix Reuse where she has lots of great ideas for reusing every day items and as a bonus she has some free cross stitch charts for you to stitch!

4.  Kim from Granny Stitches because no matter what life throws at her...she just keeps on going!  I think she is an inspiration to many - most of all her family.

5.  Last but not least is Shuanterria from Ca11i0pe's Reviews and Stitching News  who is new to the stitching world but never lacks from enthusiasm about her projects.

Now I guess comes the hard part...the five random facts ~ eek...

1.  I am short ~ only 4' 6"  :)
2.  I have a bone disease - congenital rickets which caused me to have two hip replacements already
3.  I LOVE books...either to read or listen to
4.  I love the HOT WEATHER and want to relocate from Illinois to a hot state like Arizona
5.  My FAMILY is the most important thing to me

Sunday's Stitchy Update...

Not to much stitching this week! Seems I ended up with bronchitis and between sleeping and coughing my brains out there was not much energy or time to do anything else.  I did get in some stitching on a small Lizzie*Kate project though and I even finished it! :)  **yippee**

Thursday Night Weigh In :)

YIPPEE ~ tonight I had a great weigh in! ;)  This week I had a loss of 3.4 pounds which brought me to a total of 12 pounds GONE!  I am so excited - I received my 5% loss sticker and am well on my way to my 10% loss.  I have been really trying these last few weeks and am so glad to see some success; makes you feel better about EVERYTHING!

Seems like I added quite a bit so I guess I must have been stitching ;)  I just love this SAL cuz it makes you see just how much you actually stitch.  See ya for the next update on April 21st.

Monday Movie Recap...

This week I watched a couple of movies on Amazon Prime.

First up was George Clooney's movie The Descendants.  It was a good movie ~ though it was not what I expected when I rented it.

Next up was the family movie  Happy Feet Two.  Jacob enjoyed it but I thought that the original Happy Feet was much better.

Sunday's Stitchy Update...

This week I worked on Janlynn's Bathtime Rules.  Had to frog it a bit cuz I stitched with the wrong color! I kept looking at it and thinking...that color looks awfully orange for the pig's face but hey what do I know?  I should have followed my instinct's though and double checked right away because it was WRONG!  So after all that I did get some stitching in on it.

WOW ~ forgot to mention is was hermitting weekend!!  I hemitted when I could I have been sick since Thursday but managed to do sneak in some stitching between coughing spells!

This Week's Reads...

Finished reading The Volunteer by Barbara Taylor Sissel…It ended up being a great book at the end and I could hardly put it down – I just wanted to finish it!  Then I read another book by the same author The Ninth Step.  I truly enjoyed this book… it showed how easily people can do the wrong thing and how your decision affects the lives of so many others.

Last week I also listened to some more of the FBI books by Catherine Coulter. I listened to Blind Side (it was great) and Blowout (good) and Point Blank (good) and have started on Double Take ~ I LOVE being able to listen to books while at work, makes the day go by so much faster!

I started reading Catch Me which is the newest book in the Detective D. D. Warren series by Lisa Gardner.

Monday Movie Recap...

This weekend we watched an oldie but definitely a goodie... E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial.  It was Jacob's first time watching it and he loved it! 

Then we rented a couple of movies from RedBox.  The first was Dream House and it was good! The ending was a bit of a surprise to us and it is one of those movies that you HAVE to pay attention to or you get a bit confused (at least I did)!

We also watched rented Hugo.  IMHO - it was terrible and we couldn't even get thru half of it before we turned it off and said well at least it was a free rental from RedBox!

Sunday's Stitchy Update...

Not much progress on the stitching front this week. It seems like every time I got a free minute; I went to sleep.  I stitched one day for about thirty minutes on the Easter Egg piece and this is how it looks now.

I am going to stay in my rotation though and this week I have pulled out the Janlynn chart Bathtime Rules.  Hopefully I will spend more time awake and stitching this week!

Thursday Night Weigh In :)

Another successful week! ;)

I lost another 0.8 this week bringing me to a total loss of 8.6 pounds.

Still going slow BUT at least it is going!

Monday Movie Recap...

This weekend we went to see The Lorax.  It was a great kid movie which showed if you take care of the world it will take care of you too.  The whole family enjoyed it!

Sunday's Stitchy Update...

This week was my week to stitch on the Dinosaur chart.  I put in 418 stitches this week and have about a million more to go! :)  LOL

This Week's Reads...

Still reading The Volunteer by Barbara Taylor Sissel still kind of a slow read and when I start to lose interest then I start playing a game instead of reading and at that rate it is going to take forever to finish this book!

I also listened to two books in the FBI series by Catherine Coulter.  I finished Hemlock Bay (#6) and Eleventh Hour (#7).  Both were great and next week I plan on starting on Blind Side by the same author.

YIPPEE!!  TRACKING PAYS OFF :-D

I tracked EVERY DAY this week... EVERYTHING I could to the best of my ability and who would have thunk it ~ I LOST 1.8 pounds this week bringing my total to a 7.8 weight loss and I am happy!! 

I am going to track again this week and pray that I have another successful week.  So here I go ~ off to

TRACK, TRACK, and TRACK AGAIN!
