We had a movie filled weekend!
This week we went to the movies to see One for the Money which was based on the book with the same name by Janet Evanovich. The movie was great - the cast was not exactly who I imagined after 18 books but all in all I enjoyed the movie.
The boys went to see Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked which they said was just ok...
On Amazon we watched Dolphin Tale (which we all liked), The Ref (pretty funny) and Abduction (lots of twists and turns).
We are still watching Picket Fences (hopefully one more weekend will finish up that series) and last but not least we watched A Smile as Big as the Moon on ABC an excellent and inspiring movie!

Sunday's Stitchy Update...
Not to much stitching time this week but I got in a little.
Stitched a bit on Sue Hillis' DysFUNctional. I just LOVE the colors on this one!
Sunday is my designated Lizzie*Kate day so I stitched some more on my One Hundred Year piece. I am planning on doing this for Jacob's Kindergarten teacher for the end of the year gift so I want to make sure it is finished in plenty of time so I am going to concentrate on this one until it is finished.
Last week I bought these envelopes at Michaels to store my charts and fabrics in when they are not being stitched.
This is what my envelopes look like
and this is what my current projects look like all organized in their bin!

This Week's Reads...
This week I read James Patterson's book Kill Alex Cross. It was great!! I love the Alex Cross books and each one is better than the last. Hope there will be another one soon.
I also finished listening to the book Hornet's Nest by Patricia Cornwell and started listening to the next book in this series; Southern Cross. I didn't really care to much for Hornet's Nest but went on to the next book in the series because I didn't have anything else on my iPod to listen to... Southern Cross seems a bit better than the other one (thank goodness).
Next up on my read list is V is for Vengeance by Sue Grafton.

Thursday Night Weigh In
Well this week I LOST the 0.2 I gained last week...
That is good I GUESS but I am going to have to get serious about this! I expected have lost more than I have by now BUT when you don't track your points (I am on Weight Watchers) I guess you won't lose!
SO...I am going to start tracking EVERYTHING and I hope that next week I will be in a better place!

| L*K Boys Will Be Boys from It's A Boy Thing! |
This weekend was the first International Hermit and Cross Stitch weekend of 2012 and it couldn't have come at a better time. It is cold out there and there is a lot of snow too so we didn't want to go anywhere so my entire family enjoyed a Hermit weekend. I spent most of Saturday stitching and I finished the above L*K piece. :)

Family Fun!
Well the snow finally came to Chicagoland and boy did it come! :)
I think we have about nine inches of the fluffy cold stuff out there. Not everyone dreaded it though ~ my grandson was more than happy to see it
He had lot of fun outside but was glad to come in out of the cold.
Last week my daughter and grandson went to Discover the Dinosaurs and they had tons of fun!

Here is a picture of them being chased by a dinosaur!
Nothing else really happening here on the homefront...just trying to stay warm and warm is not easy to come by right now!
I am getting ready to camp out on the couch with some coffee, bundle up and stitch! :)

This week's reads...
This week I am at the very end of Stephen King’s book 11/22/63. It is great and I can’t wait to see how it ends up…probably on the train ride home this evening. Next on the Kindle will probably be Kill Alex Cross by James Patterson.
Finished up James Patterson's book Honeymoon – it was just ok. Then I listened to his book Judge and Jury and I LOVED that one. So I decided to give another one of his books a try…A Christmas Wedding. In my opinion it was terrible and I just couldn’t get into it so I stopped listening to it
Now I am listening to Patricia Cornwell’s book Hornet’s Nest which is the first in the Andy Brazil series. So far it seems pretty good.

Thursday Night Weigh In
Had a tiny little set back this week and I gained instead of losing! The good part is that I only gained 0.2 pounds.
Sooooo I guess I need to work a bit harder next week and lose that 0.2 and MORE!

Monday Movie Recap
This past weekend I watched
In the Electric Mist with Tommy Lee Jones, it was ok...
Racing Stripes which I seen before but it is cute!
Flipper which I had never seen before, Jacob and I enjoyed it.
I am also watching Picket Fences on Hulu Plus. We had started watching season 4 but then over the weekend they FINALLY added season 3 to the queue so we stopped watching 4 and started on 3.

Sunday's Stitchy Update...
It is the 15th! Yippee…
That means I have stitched on each of my 15 projects for the Cross Stitch Crazy 15 Facebook group and for the Yahoo Group Stitching Sisters! I already posted the first seven so here are the updates for the next eight…five are new starts, two are WIPs and one is a long abandoned UFO from 2005.
On Day 7 I started Lizzie*Kate’s ABCs of Parenting

On the 8th I started Lizzie*Kate’s ABCs of Aging

The 10th brought me a bit of a challenge…I started stitching Rose of Sharon by Design Connection and I am NOT to sure I like it. It is supposed to be stitched over two but I decided to stitch it over one and that might be a mistake…I am going to try to stitch some more when I can and see how I feel about it. Maybe I can swap it out for some different fabric?
The 12th is another Lizzie*Kate design! Boys Will Be Boys from The It’s A Boy Thing Chartpak…love this one too! Seems I must really like L*K Designs
Then I picked up the UFO on the 13th and I so remember why I put it down! I am stitching it over 2 and I am not to good at that! Maybe if I had an evenweave fabric it would seem less stressful? To late now – I am about halfway finished.

On the 14th I continued with the EMS Flowers of the Month SAL I was doing with another group. I am almost finished with May. I already stitched March and April in 2011.

The last chart to round out the 15th is another WIP ~ Dinosaurs! I was terrified of this chart but with a lot of encouragement and direction of many online friends – I am doing it like I would any other project. I just know that this one will take WAY longer than any other I did cuz it is the biggest one I have ever attempted ~ 20 pages ~ YIKES! So far 331 stitches stitched and only 66,169 more to go!!

This week's reads...
This week I finished listening to the last book in the Dismas Hardy series by John Lescroart, A Plague of Secrets. The series was good but I prefered his Abe Glitsky series.
I am still reading Stephen King’s book 11/22/63. I am around two-thirds of the way through and can't wait to see how it ends! Should wrap it up next week!
I am now listening to the James Patterson's book Honeymoon. It is just ok...and a quick listen!

Then Friday I started the Nativity scene from Broderie. I was going to stitch it in all white but now I am thinking about adding some different colors in...just have to determine what they will be. This one is a quick stitch and may finish it the next time I pick it up.
Saturday...aka Day Seven was the start day for Lizzie Kate's ABCs of Parenting. This is my second time stitching this chart. This time it is being stitched for my daughter.
And today, Sunday; is day eight and it was the start day for Lizzie Kate’s ABCs of Aging. Did not take a picture of this one yet, so it will be in my next update!
