Sunday's Stitchy Update...
YIPPEE...
There is another finish in the house! :)
There is another finish in the house! :)
Tonight I finished The Nativity Scene by Broderie.
It seems like such a simple design yet I had to frog it about five times, but I FINALLY finished it! On the chart the designer has some swirls going around the entire chart but I liked it without the swirls and also felt they took away from the scene. Hope you like my adaptation of the design.
Thanks for taking a peek at my stitching,
see ya next week with another update!

This Week's Reads...
This week I finished listening to The Edge by Catherine Coulter (the 4th book in her FBI series). Honestly I couldn’t get into THIS particular one but I think it was more because of the person reading the book than the book itself! So I continued on with the series and listened to the next one (the 5th in her series) Riptide and it was GREAT! Loved it!!
I read Abducted by T R Ragan. It was one of the free books I downloaded from Amazon – got to love that site, all those books to read with a simple click of the mouse! I enjoyed this book…and I would recommend it
Now I am reading The Volunteer by Barbara Taylor Sissel (another Amazon Kindle freebie) and it is off to a slow start but hopefully it will pick up the pace soon! I am getting ready to start listening to Hemlock Bay (#6 in the FBI series).

Thursday Night Weigh In :(
A teensy tiny gain of 0.4 this week bringing my total weight loss to 6.0.
I NEED to start tracking EVERYTHING I eat instead of tracking the mornings and afternoons but skipping the evenings and/or weekends ~ so that will be my goal this week...

It's TUSAL Time Again!
Since the last TUSAL posting my wonderful daughter made me a new ORT jar, one that is complete with a pin cushion on top so I won't keep losing my needle every time I lay it down! :) So far it is working wonderfully.
I collected quite a few ORTs since the last posting! Can't wait to FILL UP THIS JAR! :)

Sunday's Stitchy Update...
Well this was the International Hermit and Cross Stitch weekend but I only managed to get in a small amount of stitching over the weekend.
On Friday evening I got in a few stitches on L*K's One Hundred Years
On Friday evening I got in a few stitches on L*K's One Hundred Years
And today I stitched a bit on Broderie's Nativity Scene.
So much stuff going on at the house this week that there was NO stitching during the week. Hope to have a calmer week this week and maybe I can actually get some stitching in! :)
Thanks for taking a peek at my stitching,
see ya next week with another update!

Off to the RACES!
Today was Jacob's first Turtle race with his Awana club.
Then he beat out all the other kindergartners in the finals by having the fastest turtle on the track!
He was soooo excited and he WON! He came in first place out of all the other kindergarten Sparks! :) He won some toy turtles and said that
TODAY WAS THE BEST DAY EVER!

This Week's Reads...
I have so many "free" books on my Kindle that I have decided to read some of them and try out some new authors.
This week I am reading Abducted by T R Ragan. It was one of those millions of free books that are offered for the Kindle. Surprisingly I am LOVING it! It is FULL of twists and turns and I can't wait to get to the end so I can see just who the killer is. I have changed my mind about the killer a couple of times now, so I am trying to hurry to the end! :) LOL
Also this week I listened to The Target which was the third in Catherine Coulter's FBI series. It was by FAR the best one in the series so far! Next audio book I am listening to is her book The Edge, I am on the second CD and I am not really getting into it. Seems kind of slow to me so I MIGHT start it over again next week and hope I get into it a bit more.

Thursday Night Weigh In :)
Another week...another small victory!
I lost ANOTHER 0.4 this week for a total loss of 6.4 which makes me happy, but a little more each week would make me ecstatic! Really can't complain to much though for a 0.4 loss as we had some things going on these week and we just had no time or energy to cook so we must have eaten fast food at least four times this week! I tried to stick to "good for you food" but going so many times in a week still is not good for you no matter how hard you try to eat "healthy" if ya know what I mean!

Sunday's Stitchy Update...
This week I ordered some more envelopes so I could get all my projects into their own envelopes and get everything arranged into some type of rotation.
This is how the new envelopes that I ordered from Amazon look. The new one is the red one in the front.
I ordered ten envelopes and I already had six which make 16 envelopes and they EACH HAVE a project! Don't know how that worked since I started 2012 with 15 projects and just completed my second finish, which should be 13 more to go ~ NOT 16! :D Whatever, I am just going to go with it! LOL
So here is how my rotation looks! Most of my projects are small so I mixed in the few big ones I have with the small ones. I decided that I am going to do a weekly rotation. Every Monday I will pick up which ever project is in the front of the tote and work on it thru Saturday. Doesn't matter if I get to work on it for five minutes that week or every single day but on Saturday that project gets packed up and put in the back of the tote. Sunday is Lizzie*Kate day - so that will be my "transition day" LOL
So finally here is my stitching for the week!
I finished Sue Hillis' DysFUNctional.
I also got some stitching in on my L*K One Hundred Years and here is the progress picture for that!

When one envelope get emptied out...I will simply fill it with another project from my vast and ever growing stash! I figure this will keep me busy stitching FOREVER and EVER
I am going to miss stitching on this one because it is so colorful and it was a fun stitch!
That is it for this week!
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to come back next week for another stitchy update!

Other Crafts!
I was browsing Pinterest (one of my NEW favorite places on the internet) when I saw this nifty little pen holder and decided that I would make a couple for the side of our freezer where we keep our menu and shopping list.
It was soooo easy to make and since we already had everything on hand it didn't cost me a thing!

Then I went to a craft night at a library in our area and we made this beautiful Woven Heart :)

This Week's Reads...
This week I am finished reading V is for Vengeance by Sue
Grafton. Loved it!
I also finished listening to The Cove which is the first one in the FBI series by Catherine Coulter and then I read her next book in the series which was The Maze. I liked the second one much better than the first.
Next audio book will be The Target but I am not sure what I will read!

Sunday's Stitchy Update...
Haven't felt like doing to much this week...guess it was just one of those weeks! Haven't felt like doing anything.
Stitched some more on Sue Hillis' DysFUNctional.
No Lizzie*Kate day this week; just didn't feel like stitching on it!
Then on Saturday I decided to straighten up my floss! Who KNEW it would take almost two days :( My floss cabinet is completely restocked with every floss color and then I have another bobbin of each thread as a spare in those plastic floss boxes. I wound bobbins and labeled everything for two days and this is how my cabinet looks now :) I am very pleased with my effort...

This Week's Reads...
This week I am reading V is for Vengeance by Sue Grafton. I love the Alphabet series and think that they are all great!
I also listened to Southern Cross by Patricia Cornwell. Good News, Bad News - this one was better and I use that term loosely than Hornet's Nest. I ATTEMPTED to listen to Isle of Dogs which would be the last one in the Andy Brazil series but I couldn't stand it so I quit listening after the first CD.
So I switched over to The Cove which is the first one in the FBI series by Catherine Coulter. It started a bit slow but I think I am into it now! I am about halfway finished so it will probably be Monday before I finish it.
