Weekly Update

This week I went shopping at a cross stitch store. I usually order online from Inspired Needle but decided to drive over there this time to pick up my order. Oh I am SO GLAD that I did! I love the shop and it is much closer to my home than I thought! I am ALREADY planning my next visit! The only problem is that it ended up costing me ALOT more money than it would have getting the order mailed like I normally do! LOL

Here is what I picked up on this visit
The charts I got are Whispered by the Wind, Sonata; Hinzeit, Wordplay Warm/Wish; SamSarah, Egg Delivery; and a bunch of Lizzie*Kate charts ~ The last two of the Christmas Blessings I needed which were Home and Peace, also picked up Cleaning the House, Live Simply and the ABCs of Parenting.

I also got a Buddy Case for my pins and needles, a pack of pins and a new needle tugger because my other one got lost somehow! It was so fun shopping in person and plan on going again soon...since now I need to get a piece of fabric for the ABCs of Parenting! Can't wait to start that one!

WEATHER
Now for the fun (not) part! We are under a BLIZZARD watch from now until Wednesday! YUCKO! They are predicting snow for the next few days with accumulations of 8 to 24 inches. Sounds like FUN doesn't it! I just keep counting the days until SPRING...as of today it is 49 days YIPPEE! I will be so HAPPY when it gets here :)

WEIGHT
Didn't do so good in the loss department this week. As a matter of fact everything I lost last week found its way back this week. But at least I KNOW what the problem is so I can correct it this week. Last week I did not journal my meals one day and ate out EVERYDAY at work for lunch. I know that I shouldn't eat all that fast food but sometimes I don't know what happens; but I will definelty do better this week.

READING
This week I finished Lee Child's book The Pursuader and I am getting ready to start The Enemy by the same author. Last week I listened to Tess Gerritson's The Surgeon. It was ok...this was the first book in the series so I have hope that the rest will get better as I go along (I hope so anyway)!

MOVIES
This week we watched Mrs. Miracle (cute) and for the family movie we watched Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue.

STITCHING
Not much accomplished in the stitching department this week. I have been playing iAssociate2 on the iPhone and I get caught up in it and it took up way to much of my free time.

So... how was your week?? :)

Weekly Update

The weather here this week is COLD and UGLY! Friday the windchill was beyond cold! I am patiently waiting for Spring to get here...then when it gets here I will be waiting for SUMMER!

Saturday we took Jacob to Lowes. They have free projects there for the kids to make and take once or twice a month. This week he made a ball toss. He enjoys making the crafts and this one was actually something he could play with. Here he is in building action!

Then I had to go to Michael's cuz I needed some floss for my L*Ks along with some other little odds and ends ;) I am so DISAPPOINTED with these craft stores! It seems as though NOBODY carries cross stitch stuff anymore; they have one little aisle for cross stitch supplies and it is all the way in the back of the store in a "forgotten" corner; oh well...at I guess I should be grateful that they still have floss!

STITCHING
Anyways...I did get the floss I needed so I stitched up a some more of the L*K's. I finished Song and Giving and Caring.

Couple more weeks they should all be finished. I am missing the last two; Home and Peace and have them on order at the LNS and hope to pick them up this Saturday. Haven't been to a LNS in a LONG TIME so it should be fun...I can't wait!

This week I also started on the Monthly SAL from San-Man - didn't get to far on it BUT at least it is started!

MOVIES
This week in the movie department we watched Tortilla Soup (cute) and The Cure (excellant and recommended). We also watched something on Lifetime Movie Network Confined (it was just ok...) For our family movie Jacob picked Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole which I don't think he watched one minute of and neither did anyone else! Needless to say...not recommended!!

BOOKS
This week I listened to two more books by Lisa Gardner. They were The Other Daughter and Survivors Club. They were both pretty good ~ like Survivors Club the best out of the two. I also finished The Edge; which was great and start another Lee Child book Persuader..gotta love that Joe Reacher!

WEIGHT
Almost forgot...I had a good week this week lost 1.8 this week! YIPPEE!! :)
Thanks for stopping by...have a blessed week and I will see ya next time!

Weekly Update

Wellllll...Another week has gone by and I am back!

WEIGHT WATCHERS
Forgot to mention that for the new year I rejoined Weight Watchers... I am attempting to do it online. Not sure if that is going to be a good way to do it or not but I am going to give it a try. They really changed their program recently so I have to learn it all over again. My daughter; Tia is doing it also so we can support each other with this. WISH US LUCK I need to drop AT LEAST 30 pounds but would like to lose 40. This week I lost another 0.6 for a total of 2.6 since the beginning of the year.

BOOKS
This week I am still listening to Lisa Gardner books...I heard the 4 books in the DD Warren Series. They were Alone, Hide, The Neighbor and Live to Tell. At the same time I am reading Jeffery Deaver's Edge on the train on the way back and forth to work. I REALLY like EDGE and would recommend it. To see what books are about or to read a little about fiction authors I use a site called Fantastic Fiction. This site is REALLY a big help to me and has added hundreds of books to my "must read" list!

WEATHER
Winter is here ~ bah humbug! Tuesday is started snowing EARLY in the morning and kept on snowing until sometime Wednesday! I *think* I was born in the wrong part of the country because I LOVE the warm, ok not warm...but the HOT weather!!! I would love to move to a much HOTTER state one day...one day

STITCHING
Still stitching on the L*K Blessings. This week I finished Hope, Charity, Joy and started Song. I don't have one color for Song so darn it...looks like I have to go to Joann's to go shopping! Wishing now I hadn't stitched them on white cuz some of the stitching is hard to see. Hopefully when I get them finished you can see the white a bit better. Anyways here they are... ;P

MOVIES
This week we watched Alpha and Omega (kid movie - cute), Case 39 (great) Despicable Me (another cute kiddo movie) and Flipped (very cute) on DVD and a Lifetime Movie Bond of Silence (good).

Stitchy Update

Well...here I am ~ gonna try this again for 2011! :)

Hopefully I will keep up with it better than last year (not that I could do much worse).

This year I am trying to get back to doing some of the stuff that I enjoy but that I have been neglecting! One of the things that I am going to start doing cross stitching again! YEA ME So I have started stitching Lizzie Kate's 12 Blessings of Christmas. I am doing them on plastic canvas so I can easily make them into ornaments for next year. So far I have Friends and Love completed

I forgot how enjoyable AND relaxing stitching is! Soooo glad I have started it again ;)

I have also been thru a bunch of books already this year. I am currently signed up for the Winter Reading program at my local library and I am a member of the Facebook group 2011 Book Lovers Reading Challenge. Feel free to join the group ~ it's open to all no matter what kind of books you read!! Right now I am just finished going thru the Lisa Gardner Quincy/Rainie series. I liked them and so now I am starting on her other series; D.D. Warren. Both of these series I listened to on CD...makes the day go quickly. Today I also started reading a Jeffery Deaver book, Edge. Haven't got to far yet...but so far; so good!

The weather is cold here in Chicagoland and we are expecting snow tonight. Not looking forward to it but that is what you get when you live in the midwest...69 Days to SPRING!

Well that is all for now...have a blessed week and I'll see you next week!
